OSAKA (Kyodo) Personal information on about 75,000 customers of Suntory Ltd. has been leaked through a Tokyo marketing company that collected the information for the Osaka beverage maker, Suntory officials revealed Wednesday.
The leaked information has already been retrieved, the officials said.
It involved names, addresses and telephone numbers of people who had applied to evaluate Suntory's health foods between January and March 2002.
The marketing company was supposed to erase the information two months after it finished accepting applications. But some of the info leaked to a vendor selling personal information to businesses.
