U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney will visit Japan, China and South Korea from April 9 to 16 to discuss bilateral and regional issues as well as efforts to combat terrorism, his office announced Friday.

The office did not disclose details of Cheney's itinerary, including when he will visit each country, but in Tokyo, the Foreign Ministry announced Saturday he will be in Japan from April 10 to 13.

North Korea's nuclear program, Iraqi reconstruction, counterterrorism and trade are expected to be high on the agenda when Cheney meets leaders of the three countries.
