A Japanese man who disappeared while fishing in the Sea of Japan in 1963 and later turned up in North Korea said Monday he hopes to visit Japan.

“I am planning to go to Japan for a visit,” Takeshi Terakoshi, 52, told reporters in Pyongyang, where he lives.
