The Japan Air System pilots union called off a strike that had been set to start Tuesday morning.

The union issued its decision at around 1 a.m. Tuesday after a marathon negotiating session with management over summer bonuses.

The Japan Airlines pilot and cabin crew unions have also called off their planned strike, along with the Japan Air Commuter pilot and cabin crew unions. All JAC flights were expected to operate normally Tuesday.

The All Nippon Airways pilots union is not planning a strike.
