San San Kan is an inn converted from an old elementary school in Shizugawa, Miyagi Prefecture.In addition to a bit of school nostalgia, visitors to San San Kan in the secluded town of Shizugawa can also experience the essence of life in the countryside -- farming, fishing and traditional foods.
Long timber hallways, staircases, desks and chairs are all visible reminders of bustling school life, while origami works and student slogans still hang on the walls.
