Police on Wednesday arrested two American high school students on suspicion of injuring a 20-year-old man and stealing his car stereo, police said.
According to police investigations, the youths, aged 17 and 18, are relatives of U.S. military personnel and attend a high school inside a U.S. military base in the prefecture, police said.
The pair are suspected of injuring the man at around 4:10 a.m. on Feb. 25 after he discovered them stealing his car stereo in the town of Sashiki, police said, adding that the two have admitted to the charges. The man suffered slight injuries to his face and head.
