Tokyo Station Hotel fetes centenary

The Tokyo Station Hotel will begin the second phase of its yearlong promotion to commemorate the hotel’s centennial on June 1.

A two-night accommodation plan priced at ¥200,000 for two people is available exclusively for one couple per night through July 16.

Guests can enjoy staying in two types of room, spending the first night in a dome twin, which offers views of the spectacular reliefs of the newly restored station dome, and the second night in a suite.

The plan includes breakfast, an original hotel notebook, a book cover and an assortment of flavored teas. Drink promotions and a variety of food plans are also being offered during the anniversary celebration.

Enjoying beer at Rihga Royal Osaka

The All Day Dining Remone restaurant on the first floor of the Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka’s west wing is offering a twilight beer plan to commemorate the hotel’s 80th anniversary through Aug. 31.

Guests can enjoy a buffet that includes pizza, salad and a selection of appetizers, with all-you-can drink, self-service beer, and cocktails.

The two-hour plan is ¥6,700 and advance tickets are on sale for ¥5000.

Doors are open from 5 p.m. on weekdays, and from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (for the first session) and 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (for the second session) on weekends and holidays.

Summer sandwiches at New Otani

The New Otani’s Garden Lounge restaurant will offer a sandwich and dessert lunch buffet from June 1 through Aug. 31.

Over 40 kinds of dishes are served, including sandwiches, salad, pilaf, pasta and curry. Included on the dessert buffet are different types of cakes such as chocolate and powdered green tea chiffon cake, mango jelly and almond creme brulee.

While enjoying the buffet, guests can enjoy the view of the beautiful Japanese garden that dates back almost 400 years.

Priced at ¥3,300 for adults (with coffee or tea), ¥1,900 for children (4 to 12 years old) on weekdays, and ¥3,700 and ¥2,200 on weekends and holidays.
