Celebrating 20 years
The Park Hyatt Tokyo is marking its 20th anniversary this year. To thank all its customers and celebrate this milestone year, the hotel is holding a year-long anniversary fair throughout the hotel.
At the hotel’s renowned New York Grill restaurant, chef-de-cuisine Federico Heinzmann will offer his personal menu in a dinner course called “Federico’s Style,” from April 11 to 24.
Heinzmann was appointed as the chef-de-cuisine at the New York Grill & Bar in February. Born in Argentina, he has built his culinary reputation while working at many of the hotel’s restaurants including the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires’ Gioia Restaurante & Terazzas, the Duhau Restaurante & Vinoteca and most recently at the Cornerstone restaurant at the Park Hyatt Seoul in 2012.
With his indisputable skill and deep Latin American passion, he will create delicious and exclusive dishes.
The four-course dinner will be available for ¥16,000 per person excluding tax and service charge. Heinzmann’s creations will also be available a la carte.

The Edo Period (1603-1867) was an interesting time for the country and during a time of an isolated society under one family, many unique practices were that can still be seen around the capital. The Hotel New Otani Tokyo is offering special cruises to re-live the past on April 26 and 27.
During the Edo Period, canals were maintained in every direction and were used to move supplies about. The cruises focus on these canals. Customers board boats at the Nihonbashi Pier, which is now open to the public, and enjoy views of Tokyo from a new and different perspective.
There are two options, with a tour on April 26 traveling on the Sumida, Nihonbashi and Kanda rivers, and one on April 27 taking guests on the Onagigawa River and Kita-jikken River, which runs beneath the Tokyo Skytree.
After the cruises, customers can enjoy a special lunch back in the hotel’s Japanese restaurant Kato’s Dining & Bar. The lunch features the three big “fast foods” of the Edo Period, which are soba noodles, tempura and sushi, and customers can bask in the afterglow of their “Edo cruise” while enjoying the hotel’s renowned Japanese garden.
The tours start from 9 a.m., and is available for ¥9,000 for overnight guests and ¥9,500 per person for nonguests.
