Celebrating Wine Day

On the 20th of every month, the Prince Villa restaurant in the front garden of the Prince Hotel Tokyo, offers discounts on bottles of wine.

As the 20th of every month is promoted as Wine Day by the Japan Sommelier Association, all bottles will be half-price.

The restaurant revamped its dinner menu in October, and added 28 “one-coin menus” that go well with wine and beer, to position itself as a reasonable and casual place to eat on a daily basis.

The reasonable but quality hotel menus include garlic saute of octopus and grape tomatoes, whitefish escabeche, gratin of egg plants, foie gras saute (limit of 20 servings per day), and more.

The restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner.

The Prince Hotel Tokyo is a one-minute walk from Mita Station or a seven-minute walk from Daimon and Akabanebashi stations. For more information, call (03) 3432-1145.

Treat your body with Elemis

The Mandara Spa at the Royal Park Shiodome Tower hotel in Tokyo has introduced Elemis’ body treatments and sales of Elemis’ skin-care products.

Elemis, the London-based, award-wining luxury spa and skin-care brand, started offering spa therapies in Japan in September, and the Mandara Spa at the Royal Park Shiodome Tower is the first place in the country to introduce Elemis’ body treatments. Mandara Spa, which operates spas in 18 countries, already offers Elemis’ treatments outside Japan.

There are two courses to choose from for body treatments.

The “Cooling Hot Stone Body Facial” lasts 55 minutes, costs ¥23,100 and includes Elemis’ original “Ice Cool Thermal Muscle Massage,” which is customized for each guest to relieve stress and muscle soreness, as well as an aging-care facial treatment that will moisturize and revitalize the skin.

The “Body Sculpting Cellulite and Colon Therapy” lasts 60 minutes and costs ¥25,200. The treatment smooths cellulite, tightens up loose skin, boosts circulation and reduces fluid retention through a combination of peel-off body masks and special massage techniques. An abdominal massage helps to purify the body from within by helping to cleanse the colon.

The spa also offers four facial courses for ¥24,150.

The Royal Park Shiodome Tower is in the Shiodome Tower, a three-minute walk from Shimbashi Station or a one-minute walk from Shiodome Station. For more information, call the Mandara Spa at (03) 6253-1180 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
