Mario is usually the star of Mario Bros. adventures; but in the case of "Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island" for Game Boy Advance, the little plumber literally comes off as a crybaby.

In this game, a pretoddler version of Mario is stranded on a tropical island filled with yoshis and koopas -- i.e., friendly dinosaurs and stupid bad guys.

Yoshis are adorable two-legged dragons. They seem to stand about 2 meters tall (except the 1-meter yoshi in the "Super Mario Bros." movie, which Nintendo pretends never happened.) And they come in every color of the rainbow.
