BOSTON -- "Art is life. Life is art," says artist Lee Mingwei.

Lee has created a series of compelling installations that serve as vessels for human exchange and heighten the experience of everyday rituals. Making conversation, writing letters, and spending money are all interactions he has put forth to stimulate a deeper look at the dialogues underlying our lives.

Lee's most recent work is a modern salon experience at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston that mirrors and extends the great connoisseur's own penchant for entertaining and showing her collections. Lee and the museum staff act as hosts, interacting throughout the day with visitors who come to "The Living Room," in the special exhibition gallery until the end of April.
