Issa is a 6-year-old American curl weighing in at a hefty 5 kilograms. She’s new to ARK and was given up because her former owners found it hard to cope with being in a new country, not speaking the language and having a new baby.
Issa had been with her pal for 6 years before he got married, but she was in no way to blame for getting the boot. Still, she's the one left suffering the consequences of that decision. Staff says she may have experienced it as a betrayal and, naturally, is feeling a bit of strain.
Currently with a foster family, Issa can’t hide how difficult it is for her to process this chain of events. Out of disbelief, anger or both, Issa is confused and doesn’t quite know how to react. She has settled in quite a bit but will likely need a bit more time to show the "super affectionate" side of her described by her former owner.
She’s a cat with quite a presence. Large, with bold markings, she has extremely beautiful eyes. Her unusual ears make her even more unique. Due to the upheaval she went through, Issa would probably do best in a quiet home where she can relax with a person who isn't going to be a fair-weather friend, but someone who's true blue.
