The 23rd Tokyo St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on March 15, ahead of the actual day of celebration on Tuesday. The Tokyo incarnation was first held in 1992 and is the largest Irish event in Japan, which was designed to introduce Japanese people to Irish culture, will feature Irish music as its theme.
While applications are closed for participants and volunteers, everyone is welcome to come watch the parade in Omotesando, Harajuku. If you’re drinking age, after the parade you can head out to one of Tokyo’s many Irish pubs for discounted beer, live music and festive dishes. Wearing green is optional, but be forewarned: You might be pinched.
Following the parade on March 15, the pub will host an after party with live music at 5 p.m. Roppongi and Shibuya branches will be serving free Guinness starting at 3:30 p.m. Show up early because supplies are limited.
On March 17 ¥800 pints of Guinness and reduced-price pints of Jamesons will be sold throughout the night starting at 5:00 p.m. Specials on Irish dishes including beef and Guinness pie and lamb stew will be offered.

In addition to green beer, the pub will serve pints of Guinness, Kilkenny, London Pride, Heineken and The Premium Malts for ¥700 during this three-day event, starting on March 15. Shots of Irish whiskey will be ¥500 and there will be live music performances on the 16th.

The pub is celebrating St. Patrick’s day early this year with live Celtic music and all draft beer ¥700 a pint on March 14th. All draft beer will be reduced to ¥500 a pint with a celtic folk/punk performance from The Mutiny on the 15th and an Irish music DJ on the 17th.
