Sumida River Fireworks Festival

The biggest fireworks show of the summer, this festival will see some 20,000 colorful explosions over the Sumida River (two locations, see map) on July 27 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.


Edogawa Fireworks Festival

This fireworks festival will see people flocking in their traditional yukata toward the banks of the Edo River, which can be accessed from Shinozaki Station and Koiwa Station. Some 14,000 shells will be fired through the sky from 7:15 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2019.


Ichikawa Hanabi Taikai

The fireworks display takes place at the east bank of the Edo River, accessible from Ichikawa Station. It will feature some 14,000 shells starting at 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 3, just opposite of the launching site of the Edogawa Fireworks Festival.


Itabashi Fireworks Festival

With 12,000 shells, this fireworks festival will take place over the river bordering the north side of Nishidai Station in Itabashi City on Aug. 3 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy the wide open space of the south bank to peer at the colorful sparks. Some seats get charged a fee. 


Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival

This festival and its 10,000 fireworks can be enjoyed from the middle of Tokyo on Aug. 10 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Meiji Jingu Gaien, accessible from Gaienmae Station. Visitors are required to purchase a fireworks ticket.


Chofu Summer Fireworks 2019

The Tama River bordering Chofu will be illuminated by 10,000 firework explosions on Sept. 7. The event will be canceled in the event of rain. A fee is charged on some seats. The north bank of the river where the fireworks will be launched is accessible from Fuda Station.


Konosu Hanabi Daikai

Around 20,000 fireworks will be launched for this occasion on Oct. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. over the Arakawa River. The venue is accessible from Konosu Station.


Tamagawa Firework Festival

The festival will take place at Tamagawa Futagobashi Park offering an excellent view over the Tama River with 6,000 fireworks on Oct. 5 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The park is accessible from Futakotamagawa Station.


Saitama City Oowada Fireworks Festival

This festival will have 5,000 fireworks launched over Owada Park near Owada Station and Omiyakoen Station on July 28 from 7:30 p.m. The display will be postponed until July 29 in the event of rain, but if both days are rainy, the fireworks display will be canceled.


Tachikawa Showa Kinen Park Fireworks Festival

This festival features 5,000 fireworks over Showa Kinen Park on July 27 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The park is accessible from Tachikawa Station. The event will be postponed to the following day in the event of bad weather.
