Annual Festival of two shrines. Mikoshi is carried into the sea of Enoshima. The scene of the youths jostling one another in the sea is always a vigorous and magnificent sight to behold.
Schedule & Key events:
from 11 a.m.: mikoshi goes into the sea and returns to Yasaka-jinja Shrine via Koyurugi-jinja Shrine
Location: Yasaka-jinja Shrine (Enoshima-jinja Shrine), Koyurugi-jinja Shrine and others, Fujisawa, Kanagawa
(1) Odakyu Enoshima Line to Katase-Enoshima Station, and then walk 15 min.; (2) Enoshima Dentetsu (Enoden) Line to Enoshima Station, and then walk 20 min.
