Kanagawa: Kamakura Matsuri

Spring Festival to cerebrate the beginning of sightseeing season in Kamakura since 1959. If it rains, events will be canceled.

Schedule & Key events:
● April 9
from 9:30 a.m.: Kyudo (Japanese archery) in the training hall of the shrine
from 3 p.m.: Shizuka-no-mai (Japanese dance) on the mai-den stage of the shrine
● April 15
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nodate (open air tea ceremony) in the shrine precincts and the temple
● April 16
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nodate (open air tea ceremony) in the precincts of the temple
from 1 p.m.: Yabusame in the shrine precincts

Location: Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine, Kotoku-in Temple and others, Kamakura, Kanagawa

Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine: JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Station, and then walk 10 min. Kotoku-in Temple: Enoshima Dentetsu (Enoden) Line to Hase Station, and then walk 7 min.
