Sara Takanashi posted her 46th overall win in World Cup ski jumping Saturday as she leapt the day's longest jump of 98 meters to claim her second straight victory in as many individual women's events this season.

Takanashi led after the first round with a jump of 95.5 meters on a 100-meter hill in Lillehammer, Norway, and kept the pace after the second run, collecting a total of 268.1 points. She is now tied for the second most World Cup wins among male and female ski jumpers combined.

Compatriot Yuki Ito had two 95-meter jumps to score 255.4, finishing runner-up at two consecutive meets. Austria's Jacqueline Seifriedsberger was third at 250.0.

"I'm very excited and happy to win (both events) this weekend," said the 20-year-old Takanashi, who collected as many overall wins as Finland's legendary Matti Nykanen who won four gold and one silver medals in men's events the 1980s.

"It hasn't sunk in," she said of tying Nykanen. "I want to aim to win the World Cup overall title but I'm not really thinking about surpassing the record" for most wins.

With 17 events remaining this season, she sits seven short of Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria who has 53 wins in the World Cup men's circuit.

Takanashi won her first World Cup meet in March 2013 when she was 15 years old and has won 46 out of 75 events in which she competed. She missed the podium only nine times.

American Sarah Hendrickson, with 13 wins, has the second most victories among women jumpers.
