Former women's world champions Nadeshiko Japan will play a second exhibition match against United States away in June, the Japan Football Association said Wednesday.

In addition to its game against the Americans in Colorado on June 2, Japan will take on the world champions again in Cleveland three days later.

The Japan women's national team is currently without a coach. Longtime head coach Norio Sasaki stepped down last month after Nadeshiko failed to qualify for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Asako Takakura, the head coach of the women's under-20 team, is a strong candidate to succeed Sasaki.
