Striker Yoshinori Muto has pledged to bring goals for his new side Mainz as he headed to Germany on Tuesday.

"I have some anxieties, but that they are dwarfed by my excitement," said the 22-year-old at Haneda airport before boarding his flight. "I haven't got a set target but I'd like to score as many as I can."

Muto, who scored 10 goals in 17 appearances for FC Tokyo this season, is set to undergo a medical at his new Bundesliga club on Wednesday.
