Rising star Sara Takanashi said she was satisfied with her winning performance at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in the Czech Republic last week and is hoping to turn it on again for home fans at upcoming World Cup meets in Japan.

"I had two good jumps and it was a satisfying competition," the 16-year-old told reporters after arriving back in Japan at Narita airport. "I got a good image of how to perform."

Takanashi, who has already won four events on the senior World Cup circuit this season and leads the overall rankings, had jumps of 98.5 and 102 meters to successfully defend her individual title at the junior event in Liberec with 268 points.

The next World Cup events take place in Sapporo this weekend before moving to Zao, Yamagata Pref., on Feb 9-10.

"I want to enjoy myself so that the people supporting me can enjoy watching," she said.
