Kohei Uchimura won his third straight title and Koko Tsurumi claimed her record-tying fifth consecutive crown at the National Individual Gymnastics Championships on Sunday.

Uchimura, the all-around world champion, rebounded from fourth in Saturday's preliminaries to collect a two-day winning total of 182.200 points at Yoyogi National Gymnasium.

Koji Uematsu took second with 179.925, while Koji Yamamuro was third with 178.825.

Tsurumi, winner of the uneven bars silver and the all-around bronze at the worlds, earned a total of 116.000 to tie Keiko Ikeda and Mari Kosuge for the most consecutive wins.

Fourteen-year-old Natsumi Sasada finished second, 2.050 behind Tsurumi. Yoshino Taniguchi was third with 113.250.
