Australia PM advisor says climate change a U.N.-led ruse to create new world order

Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s top business adviser on Friday claimed climate change was a ruse encouraged by the United Nations to create a new authoritarian world order under its control.

Maurice Newman, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council, said the real agenda was “concentrated political authority. Global warming is the hook.”

In a column for The Australian newspaper to coincide with a visit by U.N. climate chief Christiana Figueres, he added that the world had been “subjected to extravagance from climate catastrophists for close to 50 years.”

“It’s a well-kept secret, but 95 percent of the climate models we are told prove the link between human CO2 emissions and catastrophic global warming have been found, after nearly two decades of temperature stasis, to be in error,” he said, without providing evidence.

Newman, a former chairman of the Australian Broadcasting Corp., is a known climate change skeptic but he went further Friday by accusing the U.N. of being involved in a scam.

“Figueres is on record saying democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she says, is the best model,” he wrote.

“This is not about facts or logic. It’s about a new world order under the control of the U.N. It is opposed to capitalism and freedom and has made environmental catastrophism a household topic to achieve its objective.”

Figueres, in charge of getting a global emissions reduction agreement in Paris in December, was in Australia to meet business leaders and the public to discuss practical climate change action.

With its use of coal-fired power and relatively small population, Australia is one of the world’s worst per capita greenhouse gas polluters and has been increasingly isolated over its perceived reluctance to do more to tackle the climate threat.

In an interview with the ABC this week, Figueres said the nation had no option other than to gradually step back from coal — a key economic driver.

Newman said “hopefully, like India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tony Abbott isn’t listening” to the U.N.

But he warned that “having gained so much ground, eco-catastrophists won’t let up.”

“After all, they have captured the U.N. and are extremely well-funded. They have a hugely powerful ally in the White House,” he said.

“They will continue to present the climate change movement as an independent, spontaneous consensus of concerned scientists, politicians and citizens who believe human activity is ‘extremely likely’ to be the dominant cause of global warming.

“And they will keep mobilizing public opinion using fear and appeals to morality.”

According to the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the global mean temperature could rise by up to 4.8 C this century alone, widely seen as a recipe for worse drought, flood and rising seas.

While Australia has a current target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 5 percent below 2000 levels by 2020, it has not yet announced further targets.

      “This PM advisor gets it.”

…and by “it”, do you mean anti-psychotic medication?

The fact that CO₂ warms planets was not proven by anyone at the UN.

It was proven by a man named John Tyndall over a century ago:

“In January 1859, Tyndall began studying the radiative properties of various gases… Tyndall’s experiments… showed that molecules of water vapor, carbon dioxide, and ozone are the best absorbers of heat radiation”

      (NASA, “Feature Articles: John Tyndall”)

If Climate Deniers aren’t paranoid-delusional and attempting to invent a conspiracy where none exists, why are they pretending science that’s withstood over a century of testing is some plot by the United Nations?

How could people so clearly mentally ill make good leaders?

  • teddyd49

At long last, the TRUTH about this malarkey is exposed for what it is….the complete transfer of wealth from developed nations to underdeveloped nations under the guise of “global warming”. The UN should be disbanded as a useless and most dangerous third world platform where the tails now wag the dogs…….

    • 1crappie2

The UN seeks to disband the USA and all free nations. Climate change was chosen as the weapon de jour simply because climate transcends all national sovereign borders.

    • thetruthhurts

All of the consequences have already been expressed legislatively for the most part anyway so now it’s just a giant autopsy on the theory itself which will be argued for years with both sides claiming a victory here and there but the truth of the matter is it doesn’t matter. The world isn’t going to end. The GWers will claim they saved it, the deniers will claim it never existed and life will go on but either way it simply doesn’t matter and IT NEVER DID.

“A group of prominent scientists last month finished a two-year study which concludes that changes in the earth’s climate are inevitable and that mankind must learn to predict these variations.

The report, released by the National Academy of Science said that a warming trend began in 1890 and continued until 1945 giving the world a half century of unusually balmy temperatures would end.

The panel reported that without doubt, colder climate will come.”

      • Wiley Coyote

He wasn’t named “Hiss” for nothing. The man was a complete snake.

      • mexiapolis

Hiss was a member of the Ware group, a covert Communist organization within the United States government in the 1930s, run first by Harold Ware and then by Whitaker Chambers. The Ware group started in the “New Deal” among young lawyers hired by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA).

Ware’s mother, Ella Bloor, was a founder of the Communist Party of America. Young Hal was thus raised in a
politically radical household, a childhood later colloquially known as that of a “Red Diaper Baby.” Although he
was not a delegate to its founding convention, Harold Ware was a member of the Communist Labor Party of America (CLP) from the year of its origin, 1919, as were his mother and older sister Helen. Hal and his family stayed through the CLP organization throughout its permutations
        — merging into the United Communist Party in 1920, into the Communist Party of America in 1921, and into the “above ground” Workers Party of America in 1922. This organization would, after one more intermediate name-change, emerge as the Communist Party USA in 1929.

According to Cambridge professor and Soviet espionage expert Christopher Andrew, Soviet “files show that after the Yalta conference Hiss was secretly awarded the Order of the Red Star during a visit to Moscow.”

I believe it was Congressman Larry McDonald that was trying to warn us of the UN plan for a New World Order and he subsequently died in a plane crash. Go figure. Most are unable to comprehend the wickedness that lies just under the surface. How many of the airliner tragedies are the result of the assassination of a single person with the death of hundreds used to cover up the crime? Few can believe that TPTB would kill hundreds just to cover up the murder of the real target. Anyone that doesn’t think this government commits horrendous crimes against its own people is living in fairy land. Netflix “TWA Flight 800” Shot down by the Navy and covered up by the FBI. That is a fact.

      • TheGreenButterfly

I lived in the area over which it was shot down. There were over 1500 witnesses that saw the contrail of a rocket arcing up into the sky from the ground. They were threatened, black mailed and intimidated into silence. There’s a reporter named Jack Cahill that did yeoman’s work on the subject. Actually I was gonna provide a link but he’s in the documentary you just mentioned!

      • 13thGenPatriot

I don’t think it was our Navy that shot down the airliner. We were having a “joint exercise” with the Russian navy at the time and I suspect that one of the Russian ships shot down our aircraft by mistake. However, we were just coming out of the Cold War and we were trying to be friends with the Russians and that sort of thing would have been a disaster for the public to know. So, I think we covered it up. I have no doubt that the aircraft was shot down. I believe that there was a cover-up. I just don’t think it was for anything more than covering a blunder that was geopolitical dynamite. The shoot down of the Korean airliner and others…well, that’s a different story. I also noticed that a Kennedy had a ski accident and was killed…and then Sonny Bono, a conservative, had a ski accident and was killed. Things that make me go, hmmm.

      • Just Thinking

Don’t forget the killing of 55 million future tax payers causing our politicians to replace them with Hispanic replacements….we rail against abortion while the politicians have been scared to death of who was going to fuel their drunken spending now that we killed all their future tax payers…don’t expect to see the border fixed ever…they love the power too much.
I think bigger than any airliner assassination the biggest crime against us happened on Jekyll Island 90 years ago.

I agree with his politics and most all of his positions; however, when people arrogantly replace Israel with the U.S. and go riffling through the O.T. claiming promises made to the nation of Israel and not this nation that doesn’t even make a footnote in the Bible, we have to call these brothers and sisters out and rebuke such anti-Semitic, pseudo-theology.

The fact that CO₂ warms planets has been the undefeated scientific understanding for over a century. It was first discovered by scientists living over 100 years ago:

World’s top climate scientists confess: Global warming is just QUARTER what we thought – and computers got the effects of greenhouse gases wrong

Leaked report reveals the world has warmed at quarter the rate claimed by IPCC in 2007

Scientists accept their computers may have exaggerated

A leaked copy of the world’s most authoritative climate study reveals scientific forecasts of imminent doom were drastically wrong.

The Mail on Sunday has obtained the final draft of a report to be published later this month by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the ultimate watchdog whose massive, six-yearly ‘assessments’ are accepted by environmentalists, politicians and experts as the gospel of climate science.

They are cited worldwide to justify swingeing fossil fuel taxes and subsidies for ‘renewable’ energy.

Yet the leaked report makes the extraordinary concession that over the past 15 years, recorded world temperatures have increased at only a quarter of the rate of IPCC claimed when it published its last assessment in 2007.

      • CB

“Global warming is just QUARTER what we thought”

Ah! …so then you know the Earth is warming!

If it’s not going to keep warming until the polar ice caps are melted completely away, just because of the CO₂ we’ve already added to the atmosphere, point to a single moment in Earth’s history polar ice caps were able to withstand CO₂ so high.

If such a moment existed, why hasn’t a single person been able to identify it?

A former NASA scientist described global warming as “nonsense,”

Les Woodcock, an emeritus professor of chemical thermodynamics at the University of Manchester, told the Yorkshire Evening Post:

“The term ‘climate change’ is meaningless. The Earth’s
climate has been changing since time immemorial, that is since the Earth was formed 1,000 million years ago. The theory of ‘man-made climate change’ is an unsubstantiated hypothesis.”

Despite overwhelming evidence from the scientific community backing the climate change claim, Woodcock stands by his argument.

“This is not the way science works,” he continued to tell
the Yorkshire Evening Post. “If you tell me that you have a theory there is a teapot in orbit between the Earth and the Moon, it’s not up to me to prove it does not exist, it’s up to you to provide the reproducible scientific evidence for your theory.”

The former NASA affiliate also asserts that carbon dioxide levels have not increased over the past century.

September is the summer melt it is supposed to be %59 less, a conmans trick besides 6,970km2 is next to nothing especially when compared to a chosen time in the past when ice levels were high, like in 1979.

Nope. Arctic sea ice has lost 59% of its volume since we began observing it:

(University of Washington Polar Science Center, “PIOMAS Arctic Sea Ice Volume Reanalysis”)

TRILLIONS spent and fools like you can’t even show us how that has done anything to help, yet you keep marching forward, destroying human innovation, life, creating panic and hatred with an infinitesimal fraction of time that humans have had in recordings…claiming “science is settled” (an oxymoron!!), creating false data, selective measurements, impossible goals.

Why not come out and put the full agenda on the table: kill half the world’s population and create a big government large enough to control humanity from flushes to how many children a family can have, to a bigger Eco police state capable of having access to every single piece of data on an individual of the likes of North Korea.

And it still wouldn’t be enough.

You want to talk suicide, THAT’S suicide. I would never want to live in your destructive utopia.

        You ignoramus.

Another theory, which sounds far more intelligent than your recycled nonsense, is that the earth’s tilt isn’t always absolute, thus why we have warm periods and cold periods.

Furthermore, you are exactly why global warming isn’t science. Science isn’t about definitive knowledge of anything. Science isn’t about anything being settled.

The idea that a microbe in the universe – MAN- can do more to effect the climatic cycles in any small measure compared to the cycles of the sun (moon and rest of the universe) gives one the true hubris of some!

“The idea that a microbe in the universe – MAN- can do more to effect the climatic cycles in any small measure compared to the cycles of the sun (moon and rest of the universe) gives one the true hubris of some!”

For at least 800,000 years prior to the industrial revolution, CO₂ didn’t once go above 290PPM (Lüthi, et al, “EPICA Dome C Ice Core 800KYr Carbon Dioxide Data”, 2008).

Since we began burning fossil fuels, that number has climbed to 400PPM and it’s increasing every year (NOAA, Global Greenhouse Gas Reference Network, “Current Trends in CO₂”).

If it’s so likely polar ice caps will be able to withstand CO₂ so high, why isn’t there a single example of them doing so in Earth’s history?

      • Luther Dorn

“If there is a stronger driver of planetary temperature than CO₂, point to a single moment in Earth’s history this driver caused polar ice caps to form with CO₂ as high as we have today.”

“The Ordovician Ice Age when co2 levels were over ten times that of today’s.”

There was a short, but intense ice age at the end of the Ordovician, between 445 and 443 million years ago.

How do you know CO₂ was 10 times current levels at the time?

If you aren’t using GEOCARB III, a proxy that cannot possibly prove your claim, which proxy are you using?

What fault do you find with more detailed measurements that suggest CO₂ dropped to limiting levels precisely during the end-Ordovician glaciation?

(Young et al, “Did changes in atmospheric CO₂ coincide with latest Ordovician glacial – interglacial cycles?”, 2010)

Does it sound like I’ve never heard your dishonest Climate Denier talking point before?

      • Luther Dorn

Fine. Was there any major variance in CO2 levels in the past millennia? During that time we have seen the Medieval Climactic Optimum where temperatures rivaled today’s, the Little Ice Age when untold millions died, the beginning of our current warming trend that happened before the large increase in CO2 levels, a cooling period that caused some scientists to predict a coming ice age in the seventies, a continuation of the previous warming trend after that, and a stalling of that warming tend (at least with surface temperatures) for almost the last two decades.

Obviously there is a driver that has more influence than CO2. Not being a scientist myself I would have to guess it is that very bright object we see in the noon sky. You know, the one that gives Earth the majority of its heat.

If you were less smug, sanctimonious and self-righteous, I’d have some empathy for your plight. The problem with how you approach this phenomenon is emblematic of how many of you alarmists approach it.
Basically, you string a bunch of ‘facts’ together and go, ‘aha, see, I told you aGG’s are warming the planet.’ What is missing from you hysteria is the link between the facts. The links are guessed or assumed and anyone who doesn’t agree with your linkage is smeared as a denier or idiot or in the pay of big oil or all of the above or worse.
You can quote independent facts that are true until the moon falls out of orbit and it won’t give any empirical verification to the theory of the cause of changes in climate. You seem to think a heaping of sanctimony and smugness will do in place of being able to show those details that would connect the facts. It won’t. That is what you are lacking in your argument and what is lacking in the argument of anyone trying to create the link between aGG’s and climate change.

The Antarctic ice sheets as we know them today began forming 40-30 million years ago with atmospheric CO2 levels between 760-600ppm. So, with atmospheric CO2 above 600ppm, it was cold enough for Antarctica to glaciate.

And as others have mentioned, the planetary atmospheric CO2 levels averaged about 6000ppm for a long time about 500-400 million years ago, and somehow the earth did not become a barren dustball devoid of life; quite the opposite actually.

With our current CO2 levels being about 400ppm and humans’ contribution to that since the beginning of the industrial revolution being about 14ppm, how long would it take for humans to push atmospheric CO2 above 600ppm? ((600ppm-400ppm)/14ppm)*150 years = about 2000 years if we did nothing to reduce emissions. Of course there are variables such as the fact that most of the 150 years I used to measure “since the industrial revolution” had completely unrestrained emissions and we do not, unexpected large contributions by ole mother Earth could raise them, maybe vegetative coverage growing due to there being more CO2 for them to breath would again lower CO2 levels, etc. And then, even if we did manage to drive CO2 above 600ppm, we’d be at least 10 times below the highest levels seen on the planet with lifeforms exisiting, and would have only managed to melt Antarctica, NOT utterly destroy the planet.

The point being, it doesn’t look like WE are in imminent danger due to our CO2 contributions. I’d say it is far more likely that we wipe ourselves out by fiddling with human, food, and microbe genetics; or from plain stupidity, meaning the portion of the population who can not feed, house, or otherwise support themselves grows every year: just turn-off the electricity and people drop like flies.

      • CB

“The Antarctic ice sheets as we know them today began forming 40-30 million years ago with atmospheric CO2 levels between 760-600ppm.”

The initial formation of glaciers on Antarctica may have been caused by CO₂ dropping below 700PPM!

…but you do realise there’s a big difference between glaciation at high altitudes and the massive amount of ice that’s on Antarctica today, right?

We have glaciers on mountain peaks in the tropics now.

There are two examples of spikes in CO₂ during the late Cenozoic to just under and just above 400PPM, one of which occurred 3 million years ago and one of which occurred 15 million years ago.

Guess what happened at the time?

“a team of university scientists and a NASA colleague were greatly surprised to discover an ancient tundra landscape preserved under the Greenland Ice Sheet, below two miles of ice.”

(NASA, “Researchers Find 3-million-year-old Landscape Beneath Greenland Ice Sheet”)

“the research team found summer temperatures along the Antarctic coast 15 to 20 million years ago were 20 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees Celsius) warmer than today”

        (Sci-News, “Mid-Miocene Warming Greened Antarctica”)

Tundra labdscape under the ice; tundra, as in northern Siberia? Where even today July average high temperatures are in the 70s F (23 C) but averages below freezing 7 months of the year, and where the ground is permenantly frozen? That kind of tundra?

      • Robert Wagner

“The initial formation of glaciers on Antarctica may have been caused by CO₂ dropping below 700PPM!”

That is pure nonsense. Just look at the geologic record, CO2 and Temp simply aren’t correlated in any real fashion over the long term. What relation does exist is tied to Henry’s Law and that is why CO2 lags temp, it doesn’t lead it. We peaked at 7000 PPM CO2 and temps never got above 22 degree C, we fell into an ice age when CO2 was 4000 PPM. CO2 is a very very very weak green house gas, both due to its low concentration and low absorption. CO2 absorbs a single spike in the relevant IR range, that being 15 micrometers. 15 micrometers is consistent with a black body temp of -80 degree C. You aren’t going to warm the earth by absorbing -80 degree C radiation. Water vapor is a much much much more abundant and potent greenhouse gas, and the researchers totally ignore that elephant in the room. Claiming CO2 is causing warming is like blaming the weight gain of an obese man on drinking diet soda after eating 3 pizzas. The real caloric forcing is the pizzas. ie sun and water vapor, but the diet soda is blamed because it has that 1 calorie of CO2. Climate “scientists” simply choose to exaggerate the impact of some of the insignificant factors in their models for political gain. It is that simple.

      • CB

“CO2 and Temp simply aren’t correlated in any real fashion over the long term.”

…so point to a single moment in Earth’s history when polar ice caps were able to withstand CO₂ as high as we’ve pushed it.

      • Phil Bickel

Even if you buy that CO2 was 280 ppm in 1880, a new finding based on a localized reading, (CO2 concentrations vary according to location, and especially altitude ) The current reading of 400 ppm indicate an increase of 120 ppm, is that correct? That is also 12 parts per 100,000, yes? It is also 1.2 parts per 10,000, yes? Now explain, to a logically thinking person, how such a trace amount of change could cause temperatures to rise 4 degrees centigrate, in just 100 years as the IPCC models suggest? If you polled scientist, specifically on that question, you’d get about a 3% consensus, instead of the 97% that is totally fictional.

There is a “greenhouse” effect, but there is disagreement on the cause although most believe that it is due to radiative forcing from greenhouse gases. Some, argue strenuously that the effect is due to atmospheric mass/pressure/gravity, rather than radiative forcing from greenhouse gases.

What is not in dispute is the fact that there is no empirical evidence showing that CO2 emissions are or ever have been a MAJOR cause of global warming.

      • CB

“There is a “greenhouse” effect, but there is disagreement on the cause”

If you are attempting to suggest there is something besides greenhouse gasses that causes the warming in the greenhouse effect, you mark yourself as someone unfit to participate in this discussion.

…so tell me something: If you don’t know the first thing about the subject you’re attempting to weigh in on, why would you have such a strong opinion about it?

“green·house gas. noun: greenhouse gas; plural noun: greenhouse gases. a gas that contributes to the greenhouse effect by absorbing infrared radiation, e.g., carbon dioxide and chlorofluorocarbons.”

(Google, “what is a greenhouse gas”)

      • odin2

CB’, try reading for comprehension I said the majority believe it is attributable to GHG,

The people who do include Curry , Spencer, and Watts, Goddard and a host of others. There are those though that believe the GHE is caused by atmospheric mass/pressure/gravity, rather than radiative forcing from greenhouse gases.

I come down on the side of Curry, Spencer et al. But, if the GHE is the same regardless of the cause, I will quote that great stateswoman and paragon of integrity and virtue who said : “At this point what difference does it make?” / sarc off

      • CB

lol! It’s not merely skeptics who understand greenhouse gasses are the warming factor in the greenhouse effect.

It’s everyone who’s not completely deranged. Greenhouse gasses are the factor in the greenhouse effect. That’s the definition of the greenhouse effect.

If you understand CO₂ is a greenhouse gas, and you understand greenhouse gasses warm planets, and you understand each and every previous time CO₂ went as high as we pushed it, the Earth warmed enough to melt the polar ice caps completely…

…how likely is it that will be different today?

Weather Channel Co-Founder: ‘Hello Everybody! There Is No Global Warming’

The idea that there is significant man-made global warming is “a whole lot of baloney,” Weather Channel co-founder John Coleman insisted on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday morning.

“The government only gives money to scientists who will present their hypothesis,” said Coleman, a meteorologist who helped found The Weather Channel 32 years ago. “They don’t have any choice; if you are going to get the money, you have to present their position. Those are the ones the government pays for. That doesn’t make it right, that only means it’s bought and paid for.”

But Coleman, who debunked climate change in a letter to UCLA last month, told show host Brian Stelter Sunday that he resented him introducing him as a climate change “denier.”

“That is a word meant to put me down,” he told him. “I’m a skeptic about climate change, and I want to make it darned clear that [Weather Channel CEO David] Kenny is not a scientist, I am.”

“There is no consensus in science,” said Coleman. “Science isn’t a vote. Science is about facts. If you get down to the hard cold facts, climate change is not happening. There is no significant man-made global warming now.”

The matter has “become a big political point of the Democratic Party,” Coleman continued, and he regrets “that it has become political and not scientific, but science is on my side.”

      • Tony Lear

CO2’s ability to trap heat decreases logarithmically in proportion to saturation which occurs around 200ppm, adding more from there will do near nothing if you know what a log curve is. One could burn the entire fossil fuel compliment and not raise the ave temp 1 more degree.

      • Tony Lear

Except the ability of CO2 to trap heat decreases in proportion to saturation. This was brought up by a retired professor about 5 years ago and there’s been silence since. After about 200 ppm adding more CO2 does next to nothing.

      • Robert Wagner

“The fact that CO₂ warms planets has been the undefeated scientific
understanding for over a century. It was first discovered by scientists
        living over 100 years ago:”

This is how the climate “scientists” perpetuate their fraud. Yes, it is true that there is a green house gas effect. There is no denying that given out current understanding of how the system works. Problem is, CO2 isn’t a significant green house gas. It is 400 parts per million in the atmosphere. We used to have 7000 PPM, and we fall into an ice age when it as 4000 PPM. Basically the climate “scientists” have taken a grain of truth, and exaggerated it into some catastrophic man killing earth fraud. H20 absorbs much much much more Infrared radiation than CO2 and it has a much higher concentration in the atmosphere. CO2 only absorbs 1 narrow spike in the relative IR range, that being at 15 micrometers. 15 micrometers is consistent with a black body of -80 degree C. You aren’t going to warm the earth by trapping radiation consistent with -80 degree C. Worst yet, there is little correlation between CO2 and temperature, and what correlation does exist has CO2 LAGGING temperature, it doesn’t lead or “drive” temperature. Simply look up Henry’s Law to understand why, or simply warm up a Coke and watch the bubbles appear. Lastly, the oceans are warming. IR doesn’t warm the oceans, and the oceans warm the atmosphere above it. The green house gas effect has nothing to do with the warming of the oceans, so we either have 2 phenomenon where one natural event is warming the oceans, and one man man cause is warming the atmosphere, or more likely the same phenomenon that is warming the atmosphere is also warming the oceans. Which do you think is more likely?

“The continent of Antarctica has been losing more than 100 cubic kilometers (24 cubic miles) of ice per year since 2002.”

So you account for record breaking antarctic ice how, exactly?

anyway, it isn’t the United Nations.

CB… show me ONE GRAPH where CO2 rises before temperature and the THEORY of AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) has a chance of being a sound theory. I’ll save you the time… there isn’t one. The basic premise of the AGW theory is flawed. Temperature ALWAYS rises before CO2. Also, did you know that every other planet in our solar system showed surface temperature increases to the same degree as Earth according to their distance from the Sun. At the same time that Earth’s temperature rose .70 degrees, Mars rose .64. Jupiter actually got warm enough to create a second red spot (or gigantic hurricane 100,000 times the size and strength of our strongest). How do you explain that with AGW? You’ve been duped my friend. The only scientists that are continuing the charade of AGW are the ones that are trying to protect their government grant and follow their parties taking points. AGW is a political tool being used to prevent 3rd world countries from becoming industrial nations. Period. Oh… and “follow the money.” Who do you think owns the company that we are expected to buy our “carbon credits” from? The AGW guru himself Al Gore (whom you remember said that the core of our earth is several million degrees)! The UN and politicians who continue to warn us of the impending doom if we don’t comply could care less about our planet’s health all they care about is power and money. Lastly, by decreasing the CO2 in our atmosphere you’ll also be decreasing the amount of oxygen in our atmosphere, because what is it plants change to oxygen through photosynthesis??? oh yea… OXYGEN!

Climate Change Not a Top Worry in U.S.

U.S. concerns with the quality of the environment dropped in 2014

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Twenty-eight U.S. senators held an all-night “talkathon” Monday to call attention to climate change, an issue that only 24% of Americans say they worry about a great deal. This puts climate change, along with the quality of the environment, near the bottom of a list of 15 issues Americans rated in Gallup’s March 6-9 survey. The economy, federal spending, and healthcare dominate Americans’ worries.

The SAME 24% that still BACKS OBAMA, no doubt!

      • SnakeUSMC

Have you NOTICED, every time there is a WAR, etc, the FIRST thing they do is HOLD A MEETING. They should have in place the necessary SOP’s developed to instantly put into place. It is always the US that comes to the aid. If they ever decide to put un troops on US soil, they best have many body bags or we can supply with hungry hogs, because hogs have to eat also – Remember, “it’s for the children.” (almost forgot to say that liberal mantra.) Subject: Re: Comment on Australia PM advisor says climate change a U.N.-led ruse to create new world order

        – and send Al Gore with ’em.

        I think Iraq.

      • LarryO2

Better yet, move them to a famine stricken, warring, malaria infested sub-Saharan African country in which ISIS is on the rise. That’s where the results of UN policies really shine.

      • I vote for Benghazi as the new site for the UN…. After all..

… What difference, at this point, does it make?

        <3 Muah!

      • emag

Excellent idea! They need them there.

    • Mike Gilmer

No. We need to stay in the UN to maintain our veto on the Security Council. Just stop giving them our $$ and make them move to a more favorable location. I suggest Beirut or Zimbabwe.

      • Just Thinking

It’s going to Babylon in Iraq my friend…in my humble opinion…and el Hassan ben Talal will head it all up.

      • Mike Gilmer

The UN can go where ever it wants, just so long as it goes.

      • Just Thinking

Well…that dusty old irrelevant book (at least what all the Marxist Professors in every University preach each day) the Bible says.

I readily acknowledge that eschatology (the study of the last days) is fascinating and exciting to those of us who know that our sins are forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ and know that “their is now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ”; however, I can find no hill to die on for I am a mere man and not all that bright either.
I do have to say though that a friend the other day pointed me toward someone that Biblical scholars say that there is one man walking the earth today that meets all the statements of the “Anti-Christ”…when I first heard I laughed to myself and thought, “and they said Mussolini, Hitler, and even Obama were the antichrist and even I had my money on George Soros since he has said that he has thought he was god ever since he was a boy)…but this guy when I Wikied him made my heart jump…goggle “el Hassan ben Talal” and look at this man in Wiki…since Biblical scholars have said his pedigree fits look at his interests and influence…fascinating to see him a modern Muslim with Hebrew training and respect within the Jewish community…with 25 plus honorary doctorates from universities all over the world it seems he has the credentials to step into power as we make mess after mess.
The book of Hebrews says, “it is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgement”…be sure you are prepared for that day by running and falling at the feet of Jesus Christ and admitting that you are a rebel against God and His Law and are asking Him to forgive you of your sins…He has said that, “who ever calls upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved”.

      • Mike Gilmer

That is interesting if you are a believer and are a student of eschatology but I am not a believer in any deity so I think the Biblical analysis is pretty much irrelevant.

      • Just Thinking

I too, at one time in my life did not “believe” that the Bible was God’s Word and that Jesus Christ was sent to earth to be the sacrifice for my sins, so I understand where you are at.

What would you say is the strongest evidence for believing “nothing”?

    • Let Beijing, Moscow, Paris, or London host these parasites.
I like how this article attempts to cast doubts on the simple fact that there has been no warming in over 17 years.

    • Mike0oSS

I always have thought the “un” would fit well in St Petersburg Russia myself.

      • Alice Ramirez

St Petersburg Russia sounds too nice a place for the UN. I’d rather see it set up in, say, Sierra Leone.

    • iisac bartender

We got out once when it was the league of nations. We must get out again and this time put it in our Constitution that any actions by a politician to erode our nation sovereignty is an act of treason punishable by immediate death.

      • Alice Ramirez

I’d settle for immediate impeachment. Death because of one’s politics sounds a bit too Commnunist for my taste.

      • iisac bartender

If an elected representative who swore an oath breaks that oath by eroding our freedoms(an attempt to undermine our Constitutional liberties) death does not sound harsh enough maybe a slow death in a cage hanging in public with no food or water provided.

    • slobotnavich

Forthwith! And we still largely fund this verminous organization heavily dedicated to our destruction.

    • LarryO2

If anyone wants evidence that the climate models are wrong, download IPCC reports for the past 20 years.

Every model the IPCC uses predicted that global mean temps would rise at accelerating rates (approximated by a 45 degree line), but reality over the same period has been a flat line.

Look, the UN has admitted that Climate Change is a ruse created by Communists (Yes, they still exist) to overthrow Democracy and Capitalism. So, it’s not a mystery why so many people ignore reality and pretend the models have been getting it right, when they haven’t. This is politics.

    • ObamaIsAMuslim

First we need to get rid of the piece of garbage president.

    • Pepe Le Pew

Gary, the article doesnt say that Australian PM said this — one of the PM’s supposed business advisors (Maurice Newman) said this. Making this even more of a non-story, the guy acknowledges that he doesnt even know the PM’s views on this subject in the article when he said:

“Newman said “hopefully, like India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tony Abbott isn’t listening” to the U.N.”

  • Perseusistheone

Ahhh reading that was like taking a breath of fresh air.. Finally some one speaks what we all know. The truth. Global warming is nothing but a lie.

When you say in this article,” he said, without providing evidence”…your slip is showing…30 minutes on the internet and any reporter (yet any 3rd. grader) can find enough strong and credible rebuttals to the Marxist nonsense called man maded global warming that you wouldn’t embarrasses yourselves by saying “without providing evidence”.
I commend you for reporting the truth; however, you worked overtime to undermine the news and not report it…shame on you all.

“the global mean temperature could rise by up to 4.8 C this century alone”

cities are already up to 16 degrees hotter than the surrounding countryside and wildlife, flowers and trees are thriving under these conditions. I doubt a 4.8 degree extra rise in the countryside by 2100 is going to make much difference.

2% of the world is urbanized so maybe this extra , supposed , temp rise by 2100 COULD effect this small area using the same words as the alarmist article – “COULD rise”

    • jackbenimble333

Most of the temperature rise that we saw in the 1990’s occurred during the winter months. Most places and most life would benefit from milder winters.

  • BPatMann

When the fat cats at the UN all stop flying private jets, then I will consider their climate change arguments.

Of course not. That kind of temperature change has to be fatal. I was somehow lucky enough to survive.

    • strawmanbeater

Umm… well, Oklahoma is famous for it. Even people born here thinks Oklahoma’s weather is insane. Literally will be 90+ degrees one day and freezing the next. Not kidding. But not everywhere is tornado alley either, so point taken.

      • TARDRE

        You survived TOO?

This global warming hoax, and it’s UN agenda was exactly what made the left go bonkers when Al (Mr. Green for green) Gore lost to Bush in 2000. Their agenda on climate was ready to roll then.

    • ZigZ

Since then, Planet Algore, who warned that sea levels are rising and US cities would be underwater in 10 years, purchased 2 California ocean front mansions.

How can you not see the hypocrisy?

All life on earth is carbon based. Carbon __________ (fill in the blank) is the scape goat in Global Cooling, oops, make that Global Warming, oops, let’s call it Climate Change, “Greetings from Planet Algore” wanted to call it Climate Chaos – that was a bridge too far. They stuck with Climate Change. You cannot argue that climate does not change. Winter, spring, summer, fall? The Carbon tax they are gunning for is a global tax on life on earth.

In the meantime they are selling snake oil to any idiot that will pay for it.

  • Right1111

The best possible solution in my opinion: all the folks that think humans are the problem should do their part and remove themselves from the situation. Right there the earth would be better off with that many less people. Does burying people cause ‘climate change’ too?

  • rdsouza

Newman: “After all, they have captured the U.N. and are extremely well-funded.
They have a hugely powerful ally in the White House,” So will it be Josh or the SS’s Marie Harf who will have an earnest rebuttal of these facts…We have 8 months until Al’s Armageddon prophecy. So this issue will be definitely resolved and rather quickly.

    • tonylion

The sad truth is Universities in the US have fallen under this dark cloud of deceit and are trying to indoctrinate college students into believing the hoax.

  • strawmanbeater

Gee, I wonder if the author of this article believes in AGW. Huh, I guess there’s just no way to know! What a hit piece. Notice they expect Newman to present evidence of the OBVIOUS FACT that the Al Gore Hockey Stick didn’t happen, yet parrot the UN on the ridiculous claim that “global mean temperature could rise by up to 4.8C”. Well, where’s the proof?

  • ckirmser

    To this article, allow me to say;

    Well, no duh.

  • waltc4

More and more people are coming to understand that “man-made global warming” is a political agenda that bears no relationship whatever to science and fact. It’s encouraging. For others, it also houses a financial agenda meant to make them rich–AKA Al Gore and company–as well as any “green” company with its hand out for government-backed “green” loans. The only green those people care about is the green that spends.

  • Terry Lantham

Those with half a brain have been aware for the nefarious plans of the UN, and the past 4-5 Presidents complicit in helping this along.
It’s a PEOPLE control and wealth grasp, nothing more nothing less.
    They are Totalitarian Fascists.

The United Nations believes in a one world government body. We are seeing it today with the push in the European Union to delete borders, allowing uncontrolled immigration. We are seeing it here in the United States with the democrats led by obama that we have no right to stop the influx of illegals pouring across our border. obama and democrats don’t believe in the sovereignty of the United States.

George Orwell in his book 1984 summed up what is happening quite well. We will be fools not to take note.

“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power”

The objective is not to save the planet from global warming but to establish a universal common cause to bring about a one world government structure of centralized power.

    • Angel6670

That’s the only way the anti-Christ can be the ruler of the world as predicted in Revelations is by creating a NWO. These people are literally ushering in the beast. There are two kinds of humans walking the earth today. G-d’s people and Satan’s people.

  • Smiddywesson

“According to the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the global mean temperature could rise by up to 4.8 C this century alone, widely seen as a recipe for worse drought, flood and rising seas.”
Even if the predictions for temperature rise were true, and they are not, higher temperatures lead to more evaporation, causing MORE rain not less. This is the worst kind of political quackery. Idiots, people who still believe this are idiots.

Frankly, I’d rather have global warming than a 2 mile thick ice sheet towering over Chicago, or New York. I bet that the citizens who support this global warming scam have never stood outside in the New England blizzards to experience an intense lack of global warming, and it would be interesting for them to say which they prefer- global warming or freezing their butt off.

  • Eric Meckes

It’s important to connect the dots, the Clinton’s and the Bush’s are top supporters of the “New World Order” , George Bush Sr even called Slick Willie Clinton a son from another Mother. These elites know if they can push US sovereignty to the UN that it would effectively end the US Constitution allowing them to get rid of all the rights of Americans including our freedom of speech and our right to bear arms. This is why, if anybody has noticed, Hillary chooses to hold most all of her press conferences and press events at the UN instead of our nations capital. Even when she came out to talk about her email scandal she did it at the UN. She wants people to get used to seeing her at the UN podium instead of the US podium. Plus it’s a different media, even more friendly liberal news sources who never ask any tough questions of anybody. Hillary and Jeb both are seeking to be rulers of the world, not just the USA. I say NO MORE CLINTON’S OR BUSH’S, AFTER 4 DECADES OF COMPLETE FAILURE, DECEIT AND OUTRIGHT LAWLESSNESS, IT’S TIME FOR A FRESH START AMERICA !!!

  • Every week, for those who seek the truth, there are scientific articles and condensations of them that show, clearly and accurately, that “global warming” is perhaps the world’s greatest hoax for control of freedom loving people.
There are proofs of “data fudging,” omissions of essential data, neglect of empirical knowledge.
The kids receive this indoctrination from kindergarten through college.

What makes climate advocates think that man has the power to abbreviate and arrest the climate in a ‘goldilocks’ zone where a select group of people will get to be in charge of determining the ideal temperate climate. For man’s history over a million years the climate has changed. The call by these alarmists will never cease as they will never achieve their stated climate goals. Therefore they will never relinquish control over the world’s finances and will always demand more. But their war won’t change the earth’s climate, instead this is an effort to change the world’s political climate. How long until the U.N. declares its time to put the opposition in jail?

    • thetruthhurts

Since the average global temperature was first estabished in the 1880’s, it has not risen one iota. In fact it is slightly lower.

  • Yoridoo

    The UN = Useless Nations

  • geezer117

“…without providing evidence”? Satellites have been accurately measuring global temperatures since 1978, 36 years. And they have registered one third of one degree Fahrenheit rise in the first 17 years, and zero rise in the last 19 years.

All the so-called climate models, every one of them, predicted large increases in global temperature over those same 36 years.

Computer models that predict events that do not occur are thus proven to be wrong. Without those models, there is nothing supporting the Anthropogenic Global Warming theory. Therefore, it too is proven false.

Awwww, what a cute youngster you are. I’ve been hearing this stuff since we were all supposed to be mutant monsters in the 1950s, or we would all be poisoned by agricultural chemicals in the 1960s, or the population bomb would cause four billion starvation deaths in the 1970s, or humanity was doomed by the imminent ice age in the 1970s. If we weren’t all wiped out by nuclear winter in the 1980s, that is.

Warnings of some imminent catastrophe are the most constant theme in history, and always with the promise that if society would only give total power to the people doing the warning, all would be well. About time a chief executive declared the king has no clothes.

Basically, the UN has done nothing for the United States as far as living up to its idealistic beginnings. The money the US has given has been flushed down a giant toilet of corruption and power mongering. Past time for the world’s population, at least that of the US, to decide it is operating in a way that was never visualized by people of the late 1940s. We should give not a single dime more to the UN, get the US out of the organization, and show the UN world headquarters in New York, the door.

Send the UN to Africa’s Ivory Coast. Let’s see how many members live in the selected city and country like they do in NYC. Will they have immunity as they do in NYC, doubtful. The USA and other western countries should reduce by 90% or entirely. Doubt the UN would exist 6 months after the move out of the USA and NYC. If the UN were to survive it would look more like Communist China, the USSR, East Germany, current day Venzuela and other countries that suppress human rights.

The man who was the impetus of the Rio Summit from which the global warming sham was started, was a Canadian OIL MAN. The man who started the Chicago Climate Exchange is the same man who invented DERIVITIVES. The largest Carbon Credit Exchange was started by a former ENRON vice-president and it’s board is filled with former ENRON executives. It’s purpose is to keep prices high on the back end by limiting emissions rather than the front end by limiting supply.

Obama’s first and continuing mission has been to disassemble the USA. He frantically started in ernest in 2008 by apologizing, bowing, and making deals against the USA on a global scale. His objectives are to run the UN and destroy America.

  • Will Malven

The UN was a noble idea created at a time when the nations of the planet were reeling from catastrophic war. It was an understandable, if somewhat naive, attempt to bring representatives of disparate and potentially hostile governments into proximity that they could solve their differences diplomatically.

Sadly, like ALL such “noble ideas,” the high-minded individuals who created the organization failed to inculcate human nature into their calculations. Inevitably the same issues that spark war also spark struggles for power within the various bodies of the UN. Greed, envy, the desire for power, the desire to control others all rise to the surface. Factions form and those who oppose the political/philosophical aspirations of other nations, become their target.

It is the natural inclination for power to accrue greater power unto itself. Those who lead ideologically driven organizations believe the rectitude of their beliefs justifies that reach for greater power and control.

Honest nations, independent nations, self-sufficient nations, powerful nations interfere with those aspirations. When a nation like the US refuses to follow the stampede like another sheep, they make themselves a target for those with expansionist territorial and political aspirations.

Envy of the US and the desire to impose world government control over the lives of all have been a large part of all UN machinations.

The UN was a failure before it was ever created.

Pope Francis, with his planned upcoming encyclical on “climate change,” is going to be making the biggest political blunder since Eugenio Pacelli (later Pius XII) signed the Reichskonkordat with Germany in 1933 on behalf of Pius XI. Proving that when push comes to shove the institutional Catholic Church ALWAYS looks out for its own political power first! Every Catholic, including myself, understands this truth at a gut level, though we are always ready with a mitigating argument to the contrary: “Well the church MEANS well even if it is misguided at times!”

  • Dave B.

Let’s see, the Pleistocene was the last ice age that ended somewhere around 12,000 years ago. I believe we, including all the academics take that as fact. It began some 2.5m years ago. It peaked in the Northern Hemisphere when an
ice sheet as thick as 2 miles high in the sky was parked over places like Quebec. The glaciers reduced mountain ranges like the Appalachians to rubble. I can attest to that as I have a lot of the rubble all over my back yard and town. All the fancy carbon dating and pulling plugs from old glaciers seem to demonstrate that very clearly. Now all of you man-made global warming fear mongers can feel free to comment as to how, from the peak of the last ice age, likely some tens of thousands of years ago, did we manage to warm our planet to melt the ice sheets all over the northern hemisphere? I don’t recall any evidence of the ancient civilizations driving around in cars without catalytic converters. I don’t recall any evidence that those civilizations were pumping hydro carbons into the atmosphere. In fact, evidence suggests that the human race was much smaller than it was now. (Yes, I am being facetious for all you folks in Rio Linda). Perhaps the cause was woolly mammoth or saber-tooth cow flatulence? Bring them back to the northern U.S. so we can warm up, damn it. So how, on God’s green earth, did we manage to melt those ice sheets? The Koch brothers weren’t even around then. Yes, they are old, but not that old. Of course the answer is rhetorical in that our activities had no influence on the warming of our planet. Sure there is global warming, and cooling for that matter. It is out of our hands. The sun warms us, the sun cools us. We are at its mercy. It was really hot when our solar-system first formed and its only cooling off over the eons. Our pollution contribution to this planet is a fraction of a fraction that has no influence as to how the environment progresses on Earth, plain and simple. Hey, maybe the jet stream movement is controlled by temperatures in the arctic, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the temperature in the arctic is not influenced by us. If you want to reduce pollution for other fine reasons like looking at a clear blue sky over Beijing, fine, have at it. But please do not try to sell me your bill of goods by way of another tax and control on me. Everyone, including the student and academic crowd needs to pull their heads out of whatever holes they rest and start questioning what is set forth as fact. As always, common sense rules the day. Use your common sense and God-given intelligence to make these and other points to the ill-sensed elitists you run into at the ball-fields, the barbeques, malls, bars, and town hall meetings. Calmly lead your fellow-citizen down the path of reason. No need to cite conspiracies. Plant the seeds of doubt in their minds about the man-made global warming phenomena put forth by people like Algore who want to control our lives for their profit. People who you formerly thought could not be reached will start questioning things on their own, like the movement towards one world government with a few tin-pot dictators controlling our lives. If you try connecting the dots for them, they will shut down and not listen to you. Don’t yell at them, don’t debate them when they start spilling their insults and hate. Just calmly point out that he who has no intelligent arguments only resorts to yelling, insults, and nonsense. That’s my rant for the day and recommendations on how to win back some sanity to our towns, beloved Country, and world. It starts with the common man and woman, like us.
    Best regards,
    Dave in the USA

  • drakesfortune

To the author of the article. You said he claimed without evidence that the climate models were proven wrong. Instead of that, a real journalist would have gone out and looked at the data. You don’t want to do that, because you know he’s right. The climate models have been GROSSLY wrong. It’s as much up to you to prove them right, and it is to him to prove they are wrong. You are, after all, the journalist, and your job is supposed to actually research this stuff. That’s what you’re paid to do after all. Instead, you just go along with the radical environmentalists who infest the UN IPCC. They are unqualified radicals, almost to a man. But we never get that reporting from the media, because you share their world view.

To understand the global warming conspiracy, and it is a conspiracy, think of it this way. What if you not only had to pay for what you eat, but you had to pay for what you excrete. That is the goal, and it’s purely economic and the oil companies and OPEC are 100% in favor of it I assure you. They get to charge you at the both ends.

Buried in the IPCC 2012 Report is an admission of a 15 yr “hiatus in global mean surface temperature”. That “hiatus” is now at 18+ yrs.

Rather than trumpeting this good news, the alarmists changed their terminology of impending doom to “climate change” and marched on.

    • thetruthhurts

Find the origins of the movement, who is involved and who is profiting. As I stated, the oil companies love this. Ever heard an oil company executive complain about this. No, they want it. They are involved in it up to their eyeballs. It was began by oil men and that is who will profit when you have to pay for the energy you use going in, and going out. They are in the carbon business top to bottom.

The UN should never have the regulation or taxing authority which its leadership has been striving for over the years. The Climate Change scam is the vehicle that they want to use to finally give them the financial and political power they want. This is exactly why the IPCC climate findings should never be taken seriously.

  • Mr. Platinumberg

Sounds about right. Before global warming it was global cooling, and now it’s “climate change.” Leftists discover these problems, to which the solution offered is always the same: Give us control of all human activity.

    The King Who Exalts Himself

36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place. 37 He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his ancestors he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.[d]

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites[e] in submission. 44 But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. 45 He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at[f] the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.

This will not go over well for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner.

According to the new book “Double Down,” in which journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann chronicle
the 2012 presidential election, President Barack Obama told his aides that he’s “really good at killing people” while discussing drone strikes.

Peter Hamby of The Washington Post reported the nugget in his review of the book.

The claim by the commander-in-chief is as indisputable as it is grim.

Obama oversaw the 2009 surge in Afghanistan, 145 Predator drone strikes in NATO’s 2011 Libya operations,
Jeffrey Dahmer and john wayne gacy were good killers too and homosexual like 0bama…

  • Lisa martin

“Nobody who knew 0bama in the gay bar scene thought he could possibly be president,” said DuJan.

DuJan, founder and editor of the Hillary Clinton-supporting website, told WND he has first-hand information from two different sources that “Obama was personally involved in the gay bar scene.”

“If you just hang out at these bars, the older guys who have been frequenting these gay bars for 25 years will tell you these stories,” DuJan said. “0bama used to go to the gay bars during the week, most often on Wednesday, and they said he was very much into older white guys.”

0bama, DuJan said, is “not heterosexual and he’s not bisexual. He’s homosexual.”

Having read this article all I can say is, “Duh”. It’s what a lot of us “deniers” have been saying for a very long time. This theory became quite evident as fact to the rest of us some time ago as it became clear who the main antagonists are; pretty much all western leaders or former leaders. They’re also the one’s primarily behind the huge increase in the number of illegal aliens invading our various countries. How can so many people illegally enter Britain, an island nation, unless the British govt is actually helping behind the scenes? These leaders attacks on the sovereignty their own nations is multiple, from pushing higher fees and taxes via global warming to willfully turning a blind eye and refusing to stop the millions of illegal and legal immigrants. They’re trying to create a level playing field where everyone, except themselves of course, is the same socio-economically.

  • Google Lord Monckton from the UK. He destroys this global warming hoax.

  • WBCarson

Lets not forget how all the Eestern countries, the very ones crying about global warming, are also running their debts up so fast that the only solution in the future will be for a one world banking system to bail everything out. He who owns our debt owns us….
Notice how the small town banks have dried up and everything consolidated into the big banks? Big banks were bailed out by the Federal Reserve and now Wall Street is unhinged from Capitalism and real corporate profits and hangs on every word uttered by the Reserve Chairman.
Even our children are taught this nonsense and its backed up by pictures of cute little animals and dire warnings. Socialism is taught in our schools and our very society blamed for all the worlds ills. We have seen what happens to those who espouse Freedom and the Constitution.
This is a multifaceted approach to fundamentally transforming Western society and nations into a one world, socialist government.

Something happened on the way to the fair and why this whole GW fiasco is about to end BUT, it doesn’t matter if it does or doesn’t. It NEVER mattered, really. When this started in the early 1990’s, born out of the Rio Summit, there was a theory called ‘peak oil’ that was widely accepted. That we were running out of oil and there had to be a rationing mechanism and a head on charge into alternative energy ASAP or we were all going to freeze to death in the dark by 2020. But a funny thing happened. We discovered there is more oil than we know what to do with. Uh-oh, how do we keep prices up ? Better keep running with that GW carbon credit thing lest we go broke. Bascially, whichever side of this debate you’re on, and who wins, matters not one bit.

  • Inarguably

God bless Maurice Newman for exposing the never ending Global Warming hoax for what it is…a gigantic share the wealth ponzi scheme aimed at destroying the ecomomies of the west and giving the Useless Nations defacto power over all nations, by neutering them with bastardized so called environmental regulations. The new green, is the old red. When will others wake up and realize that we are being played by these new age marxist progressive eco-alarmists? One thing is for certain. The media is in the tank, and the fellow travellers who pollute the fourth estate will continue to spew Global Warming hoax propaganda.

Notice how these Eco Saviors are always coming up with new catastrophes that only they can fix with lots of money and power, never mind that the predictions they make NEVER come true. Overpopulation, starvation, natural disasters are always something they hype and when it doesn’t happen they lie and say it wasn’t the actual event they were predicting.

  • Roj Blake

Maurice Newman speaks the truth, although it’s bigger than just the UN. By persuading people anything carbon related needs to controlled to save the planet you create the justification to regulate and control all human activity. It’s a totalitarian’s dream, and a nightmare for everyone else.

  • DaveGinOly

“‘It’s a well-kept secret, but 95 percent of the climate models we are told prove the link between human CO2 emissions and catastrophic global warming have been found, after nearly two decades of temperature stasis, to be in error,’ he said, without providing evidence.”

Why the jab? Everyone who knows anything about “climate change” knows that not a single climate model predicted the acknowledged (i.e., acknowledged even by global warming researchers) 17 year hiatus in temperature increase (that, when it started, several climate change luminaries stated it had to last 10 or 12 years before it would be recognized as a problem their research can’t account for – yet some of those people are now still denying it’s a problem for their theories).

While I’m at it, I’ll answer my own question: news media bias. You wouldn’t question an unsupported statement from a climate alarmist like this.

  • Pressto

It appears the media is still going to ignore the hacked emails from climategate the proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that all the global warming climate models where a hoax with bogus and manipulated numbers. Get that rat’s nest, known as the UN, out of the United Sates ASAP.

  • gotham1883

The UN was always intended as a tool for totalitarian world domination. It has never had any other purpose. It was always intended that eventually the dominant nations would rule the other nations and consequently make the rules. Just like Germany is now making the rules in Europe.

  • eddie too

I find it confusing to believe that climate science is sophisticated enough to project the earth’s climate fifty years from now but is not sophisticated enough to project the earth’s climate five to ten years from now.
what is in the science that causes its predictions to be more accurate in the distant future than in the near future?

    • OldOllie

“Climate science” isn’t about science. It’s about bossing people around and taking their stuff.

      • Steve Roberts

        Simple as that !!!

    • Afterheart

They cannot adequately predict the weather to take place by the end of the week let alone five to ten years from now. It reminds of joke… A parent was chastising his child about lying (possible future AGW alarmist) and told the child, “Jimmy, if you don’t stop lying, you may grow up to be a weatherman on TV”

  • Dnice

He is exactly correct…. too bad it took him like 15 years to figure it out…. AGW is nothing more than a money grab

    • Afterheart

      …..money and power grab!

  • John S. in St. St Petersburg

Don’t talk to me about climate change, until the climate change wizards figure out how to eliminate volcanos which in the blink of an eye undo their so-called gains from suppressing fossil fuels, mainly coal.

Watch-out, your common sense is showing for all useful idiots to see!

  • Very plausible!!!!

  • gotham1883

In America Obama is closing down all the coal fired electric plants so they can be replaced with wind energy. Expect rolling blackouts everywhere. Expect to no longer use air conditioning. Expect to give up 1st world conveniences for 3rd world Obamaeconomics. Kalifornia has already accept Obamaeconomics as the NWO. They have no water and rolling blackouts now. Kalifornia is quickly becoming northern Mexico, a place of dust and desert where the only crops will be tourism and drugs.

    • Afterheart

Tourism…not so much anymore! Get the Mexican’t experience…travel throughout the USA!

We need to elect Barack Obama as the new leader of the United Nations and he can begin to heal the strife in this world.
    The world needs Barack Obama.

  • Charley Varrick

He got that spot-on. It unsettles me when a member of a government got it right, for quite some time now.

  • The Man from Scene 24

I’m pretty sure most rational people saw the global warming scam as a ruse from the onset.

  • AlFromBayShore

FINALLY! Someone who gets it! Climate change hysteria is fear mongering used to trick people into supporting climate change legislation. Climate change legislation results in government management of resources. This is called a “command economy”. A command economy is an economy where government manages the economy through control over resources. Totalitarian governments maintain power by controlling the economy.

  • curlyFish

    “…he said, without providing evidence.”

Does anyone think the author of this article ever says the same of the AGW fear-mongers when they put out their phony reports of coming catastrophe, “if we don’t act now!”? Does the author have any evidence that a single AGW prediction has ever come true? No, he doesn’t because none of them ever have. It must be hard to live in such a bubble of stupidity.

This was admitted by the UN a number of times, one being recent along the lines of it being a way to *destroy* capitalism. It’s a completely communist/socialist/Marxist/globalist push to financially crush first-world nations, claiming it is for the good of third-world nations, when it is really just for lining the pockets of international bankers and similar evil ilk.

  • Frustrated Teacher

I have been pointing this out to anyone who would listen for almost 10 years. It is NOT about science. Just the way it is being handled shows that. There is no ‘heresy’ in science for dissenting viewpoints. This is about power, wealth distribution and control…

This article is an excellent example of pro alarmist bias. I especially liked the part were the author attempts to downplay the climate models failure to accurately predict climate trends by noting the sceptics failure to site sources.

  • Thank God there is one leader with courage. It is becoming very clear that the American president is a progressive construct, being run by those we don’t know but Soros has his greedy hands in there for certain, and he is acting deliberately against the citizens’ and the nation’s interests. In other words he is selling out the country.

People, people….many of you will not know you lost your freedoms until it slaps you in the face or boots you in the arse. Many of you, who only think about yourselves, do not even think about what the future may hold for your children or grandchildren.
The day is approaching us all in a very slow but steady course. We will not succeed in anything unless we stop blaming others for our own mistakes and start doing something to correct them. We are AMERICANS stand proud … Be aware of your surroundings….we still have our freedom of speech lets ALL SPEAK OUT AND BE HEARD!!

    • RodT82721

That day has been approaching since man first appeared, and look at what happened. Man acclimated to the changing climate.
This is just one more miracle of the human existent, I suppose part of that big boom. Humans and for that matter all living creatures seem to adapt to their environment, instead of trying to foolishly try to change the climate. At least until the all knowing progressives showed up. Now they have a better idea ???

How about someone in the business of saving our planet by forcing everyone back into a caveman like existence, based on their computer models, prove their models (software) actually works? They can’t!

When ever some climate “expert” makes a prediction (Al Gore???) and it fails to come to true, they just make a new prediction.

This is spot-on. Climate change is perhaps the most audacious and yet ridiculous fraud ever attempted. Whether it’s the UN or just a loose coalition of verminous statists from various constituencies promoting it is unknown at this point, but with the collapse of Marxism and its utter discreditation, Climate Change is simply the latest iteration of central statism. It’s the fondest dream of all the verminous “best people,” who dream of having us all marching in lockstep to their socialist cadence. It’s profoundly elitist, profoundly evil, and profoundly anti-democratic, and thus hugely popular with academicians, leftist pols, government employees, and all the other useless and destructive tax-feeders who live off the efforts of all those who produce, invent, grow, and design everything we enjoy in this world.

to be in error,” he said, without providing evidence.

I wonder if this news source, when reporting on every AGW true believer who throws out the old “97% of scientists” standby in speeches, adds the same “without providing evidence” qualifier.

I read a article on a official .gov web site years ago by one of the top guys at NASA. I can not remember the guys name but he was apposed to the idea that man was creating climate change, he stated, “I think we here at NASA know a little bit about climate” then went on to state that the people promoting man made global warming left out two key factors 1. the sun lol and 2. water vapor which is the number 1 green house gas that traps heat. The guy was upset about James Hansen also a NASA employee who is a climate change deceiver. It was a peer review type paper meant for other scientist but I got the simple stuff.

The UN is an evil organization spawned under the auspices of a communist spy named Alger Hiss.

  • He doesn’t need to provide any more evidence. It’s a well-known, well-documented fact that there’s been no warming for 18 years. In fact, there’s been a slight cooling trend. That was a shameful ad hominem attack. If you were a real journalist you’d already know the satellite data shows no warming for nearly 20 years as he stated.

  • PAWX2011

Right off the bat the writer of this story interjects his own editorial statement that should have been removed from the story by the editors.
    “without providing evidence.”
The fact that that line remained in the story only shows the extreme liberal bias this quote news organization like so many others has.

Here is your evidence since you and your editors are too lazy to seek it out or just want to spew the typical New World Order rhetoric of AGW.
Satellite based lower atmospheric temperature records since the late 1970s collected by Dr. Roy Spencer at the University of Alabama, Huntsville show there is basically no warming since 1997/98. These records are much more accurate than the land based number which have been manipulated and changed based on model of land use and instrumentation changes or worse yet outright fraud…no one will ever know for sure since they erased the old records.

It isn’t a creditable ploy of just “not listening to the U.N.” that will stop this insanity from the U.N. It will take a world leader, as Mr. Abbott is, to tell the U.N. at the podium during its annual forum exactly what Mr. Maurice Newman, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council, stated.

  • Dan Thompson

Newman is correct of course. The UN has plans for a one world government made up of 10 blocks of nations with one leader of it all. For those who know their bibles this is no shock, particularly from passages in Daniel and Revelation. You wonder why Obama allows the southern border to be wide open (aside from recruiting future Democratic voters) and it’s because we are all North Americans. North America will be one those 10 blocks of nations. Time is running out folks.

This planets climate is due to the sun. Global warming is the biggest Hoax on the people of the world ever. You can mess up your city or region by not limiting emissions from cars and industry but not the planet. It is something used by politicians to get liberals to vote for them.

There’s a point you’re missing here. If it were a lie – they’d be selling it to the mouth breathers on the right. Your so called leftists are skeptical and analytical . It’s the people on the right who respond with the predictable knee-jerk, snap-to-attention obedience because they’ve never developed the criticial thinking skills to do other than what they were told. And by the way – while you weren’t paying attention – you may want to have a look around and see where all the vast wealth actually has gone. But then, it’s evident you’ve been programmed to believe that those poor resourceful bankers are being ripped off by the crumbling middle class and the while you were listening to their sad tale they ran around behind you and kicked you right in the bum before you could nod your empty head.

      • 1776

You’re an ignoble Leftist. You know that, right?

  • Jonas K

I am skeptical humans are the main cause of climate change and that it will be catastrophic in the near future. There is no scientific proof of this hypothesis, yet we are told “the debate is over” and “the science is settled.”

My skepticism begins with the believers’ certainty they can predict the global climate with a computer model. The entire basis for the doomsday climate change scenario is the hypothesis increased atmospheric carbon dioxide due to fossil fuel emissions will heat the Earth to unlivable temperatures.

In fact, the Earth has been warming very gradually for 300 years, since the Little Ice Age ended, long before heavy use of fossil fuels. Prior to the Little Ice Age, during the Medieval Warm Period, Vikings colonized Greenland and Newfoundland, when it was warmer there than today. And during Roman times, it was warmer, long before fossil fuels revolutionized civilization.

The idea it would be catastrophic if carbon dioxide were to increase and average global temperature were to rise a few degrees is preposterous.

Recently, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) announced for the umpteenth time we are doomed unless we reduce carbon-dioxide emissions to zero. Effectively this means either reducing the population to zero, or going back 10,000 years before humans began clearing forests for agriculture. This proposed cure is far worse than adapting to a warmer world, if it actually comes about.

    IPCC Conflict of Interest

By its constitution, the IPCC has a hopeless conflict of interest. Its mandate is to consider only the human causes of global warming, not the many natural causes changing the climate for billions of years. We don’t understand the natural causes of climate change any more than we know if humans are part of the cause at present. If the IPCC did not find humans were the cause of warming, or if it found warming would be more positive than negative, there would be no need for the IPCC under its present mandate. To survive, it must find on the side of the apocalypse.

The IPCC should either have its mandate expanded to include all causes of climate change, or it should be dismantled.

    Political Powerhouse

Climate change has become a powerful political force for many reasons. First, it is universal; we are told everything on Earth is threatened. Second, it invokes the two most powerful human motivators: fear and guilt. We fear driving our car will kill our grandchildren, and we feel guilty for doing it.

Third, there is a powerful convergence of interests among key elites that support the climate “narrative.” Environmentalists spread fear and raise donations; politicians appear to be saving the Earth from doom; the media has a field day with sensation and conflict; science institutions raise billions in grants, create whole new departments, and stoke a feeding frenzy of scary scenarios; business wants to look green, and get huge public subsidies for projects that would otherwise be economic losers, such as wind farms and solar arrays. Fourth, the Left sees climate change as a perfect means to redistribute wealth from industrial countries to the developing world and the UN bureaucracy.

So we are told carbon dioxide is a “toxic” “pollutant” that must be curtailed, when in fact it is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, gas and the most important food for life on earth. Without carbon dioxide above 150 parts per million, all plants would die.

    Human Emissions Saved Planet

Over the past 150 million years, carbon dioxide had been drawn down steadily (by plants) from about 3,000 parts per million to about 280 parts per million before the Industrial Revolution. If this trend continued, the carbon dioxide level would have become too low to support life on Earth. Human fossil fuel use and clearing land for crops have boosted carbon dioxide from its lowest level in the history of the Earth back to 400 parts per million today.

At 400 parts per million, all our food crops, forests, and natural ecosystems are still on a starvation diet for carbon dioxide. The optimum level of carbon dioxide for plant growth, given enough water and nutrients, is about 1,500 parts per million, nearly four times higher than today. Greenhouse growers inject carbon-dioxide to increase yields. Farms and forests will produce more if carbon-dioxide keeps rising.

We have no proof increased carbon dioxide is responsible for the earth’s slight warming over the past 300 years. There has been no significant warming for 18 years while we have emitted 25 per cent of all the carbon dioxide ever emitted. Carbon dioxide is vital for life on Earth and plants would like more of it. Which should we emphasize to our children?

    Celebrate Carbon Dioxide

The IPCC’s followers have given us a vision of a world dying because of carbon-dioxide emissions. I say the Earth would be a lot deader with no carbon dioxide, and more of it will be a very positive factor in feeding the world. Let’s celebrate carbon dioxide.

Patrick Moore (pmoore@allowgoldenricenow.org) was a cofounder and leader of Greenpeace for 15 years. He is now chair and spokesman for Allow Golden Rice.

problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white
country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan,
but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing
in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY
white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e.,
    intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem
would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought
into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE
problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?

And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of
genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable
conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

Are you so out of touch that you don’t know the earth quit warming 18 years ago?
You forgot to mention that even the IPCC says warming has slowed so much that cooling is within the range of measurement uncertainty since 1998.

  • ron17571

All this stuff about Climate Change and Terrorism is just spreading fear so people can have a way to control you. Its all a scam. I am not saying that common sense thinking on taking care of the earth is bad. Agenda 21 needs this fear stuff,Just wait for what happens after the U.S. economy collapses.

If climate change is the hook, then the UN can stick that hook where the sun don’t shine! US out of the UN – NOW!

Don’t worry Mr. Abbott…it’s not just a UN ruse….just as the LCP (Liberal Clown Posse).

  • Phil Bickel

According to Satellite readings, the most accurate, the Earth has barely changed in 40-50 years, about 0.2 degrees C. ( UAH, GISS ) They are pointing to ground based readings that have to be adjusted for urban sprawl, airport runway expansion, and seasonal fluctuations etc. They simple use the “Climate Tricks,” that Mike Mann and Phil Jones referred to in the East Anglia, Penn U. Emails to make the models more accurate. They even go as far to adjust historical records based on specious theories. The consensus is an outright lie, as even Spencer said he’d be included the statistical trap the survey created.

  • Jjr74

Great to see at least some world leaders calling this for what it is….a ruse. Amazing how main stream media never publishes the peer reviewed contrarian theories.

  • pugwis

Duh! Anyone with half a brain and some time on this earth knows that whenever the government jumps on a bandwagon, you better jump off before it goes over a cliff. Sure global warming is a scam. The gov keeps drumming up their “99% of scientists agree” crapola and there is no evidence for this except through the government sponsored IPCC. According to the Wall Street Journal that tried to determine where this number came from, it originated from five small studies conducted by people who weren’t even climatologists or connected to climate science. The rest of “science” has stated the various “findings” connecting climate change to humans are frauds. Listen: Whenever the government gets behind something run the other way. Global warming? When over 95% of greenhouse gases are water vapor? When at least 3% is from volcanoes that blow off every week? That leaves only 2% attributable to us humans from all sources, including breathing. Want a bet? In 25 years we’ll be worried about “snowball earth”.

It’s amazing how many otherwise intelligent people buy into the immensely, mind-meltingly obvious scam that is significant man made global warming.

It just takes a bit of research to find CAGW is scientifically baseless and that’s ignoring the fact that a bunch of bankers, corporations and governments telling us to give them money and destroy our productivity and prosperity ceding them maximum control over our lives over doesn’t ring alarm bells in the minds of the peasant masses.

    “4.8 C this century alone”

The stupid, it burns. Only that’s being lenient, it’s not stupid, it’s corrupt. All the evidence points toward just over 1 degree over the next 100 years.
This is assuming the current rate, even ignoring the pause. It is also assuming that the evidence suggesting we’re at the peak of a Holocene period, i.e. a Holocene Climactic Optimum is wrong, because the evidence of Holocene cycles suggests we’re due to head into another ice age

    • whimsicalmama

we have just been informed by scientist that we are entering a phase of solar inactivity such as that which created the maunder minimum, known as the little ice age. Wow, climate changes, there was a significant warming from 8000bc – 6000bc and you want to blame that significant warming on the cavemen driving fossil fueled vehicles?

  • BSORaiderErie

Climate Change/Global Warming is exactly as stated above. It is a plan to steal more of our taxpayer’s money to blackmail other nations, poor nations, before they receive one penny of our taxpayer’s money from the UN. It is about paying off others to force their hand to join their agenda! Thank God for strong leaders like Abbott. If you look at the UN’s list for those able to collect some of our taxpayer’s money you’ll find China. Why China? Because China fought to be included because of their One-Child Policy which cuts awful air. So babies and cattle watch out!
    God Bless America!

If global warming is so dangerous to mankind’s survival then why were developing nations exempted from making cuts to their green house emissions? Beijing is so polluted that you must wear a gas mask to breathe. No cuts for China though. Hmmm?
Why does Al Gore still take private jets and ride in a limo when he claimed the internal combustion engine to be mans worst invention ever? Hmmm?
Ten thousand years ago most of North America was covered by a glacier that melted away and left us with the Great Lakes. What caused the global warming that made this happen? Cavemen driving SUV’s must have been the cause,
The Sun’s cycles and to a lesser degree volcanic eruptions cause global temperatures to rise and fall.
    Just follow the money.

  • fidobite

I certainly think the whole “hockey stick” global warming thing is a money & power grab, nothing else. But just for a moment let’s analyse the issue a bit. If we were moving slowly into a warmer climate overall isn’t it just amazing to hear how EVERY result of such a thing would be dissasterous! By contrast then I must assume that global cooling (you know, the coming ice age thing they were pushing back in the late 60’s and 70’s) would make the world a better place, no? I mean if the heat makes for higher seas, more violent hurricanes and thunderstorms, increasing drought, wouldn’t a cooling trend bring weaker storm systems, more beach and less air conditioning??

Sooooo, with a little increase in high altitude particulate matter (you know, the type volcanoes spew out) we should be able to regulate the climate easily back to a cooling trend, no? So dammit everyone, get out there and start polluting with high altitude dust and dirt! Start a forest fire today! We could use the catch phrase “A hot one today brings a cool tomorrow!” or “A nuclear winter today keeps the heat stroke away!”

  • JeffJL

I resent the statement “Australia is one of the world’s worst per capita greenhouse gas polluters”.

I am quite sure we are number 1 (or a damn close number 2).

    • Tony Lear

The Hawke/Keating Labor Government took on all emissions from Japan and Koreas Australian sourced coal burn to our own tally in an effort to keep them buying our fuels. The thinking was that Kyoto would spoil our export market.

      • JeffJL

I think you are trying to say that Australia is number 1 because a significant part of Japan and Koreas CO2 production is counted to Australia.

        Reference please.

Here are three other examples of the totalitarian nature of the UN and the CAGW religion:

    1. Members of the Club of Rome are permitted to serve as lead authors of the UN’s intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ( IPCC) reports and the Club of Rome espouses drivel like this (these are the Club of Rome’s own words):

“The need for enemies seems to be a common historical factor…. Bring the divided nations together to face an outside enemy, either a real one, or else one invented for the purpose…. In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill. In their totality and their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together. But in designating these dangers as the enemy, we fall into the trap, which we have already warned readers about, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. THE REAL ENEMY THEN IS HUMANITY ITSELF.”

Maurice Strong is a billionaire, a member of the Club of Rome , helped organize the IPCC, and was the Secretary General of the 1992 Rio Conference (sometimes called the Earth Summit). Here is a quote from Strong:

    Maurice Strong

Head of the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro

    [The emphasis is mine].

    2. Here is a book that illustrates the totalitarian nature of the CAGW movement:

“The Climate Change Challenge and the Failure of Democracy by Dr. David Shearman. Professor David Shearman, MD, is Emeritus Professor of Medicine, University of Adelaide, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the University’s Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences and Law School. Professor Shearman was an Assessor for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Third Assessment Report and the Fourth Assessment Report.

The following is part of one of the reviews of Shearman’s book on Amazon:

You see, apparently democracy is simply not natural. As the authors put it: `we argue that authoritarianism is the natural state of humanity’. They propose the formation of an `elite warrior leadership’ to `battle for the future of the earth’ [p.xvi]. ….

Chapter 9 will describe in more detail how we might begin the process of constructing such real universities to train the ecowarriors to do battle against the enemies of life. We must accomplish this education with the same dedication used to train its warriors. As in Sparta, these natural elites will be especially trained from childhood to meet the challenging problems of our times. [p. 134]

Government in the future will be based upon . . . a supreme office of the biosphere. The office will comprise specially trained philosopher/ecologists. These guardians will either rule themselves or advise an authoritarian government of policies based on their ecological training and philosophical sensitivities. These guardians will be specially trained for the task. [p. 134]”

    3. From Scientific American:

“Among the proposals: a call to replace the largely ineffective U.N. Commission on Sustainable Development with a council that reports to the U.N. General Assembly, at attempt to better handle emerging issues related to water, climate, energy and food security. The report advocates a similar revamping of other international environmental institutions.

Unfortunately, far more is needed. To be effective, a new set of institutions would have to be imbued with heavy-handed, transnational enforcement powers. There would have to be consideration of some way of embracing head-in-the-cloud answers to social problems that are usually dismissed by policymakers as academic naivete. In principle, species-wide alteration in basic human behaviors would be a sine qua non, but that kind of pronouncement also profoundly strains credibility in the chaos of the political sphere. Some of the things that would need to be contemplated: How do we overcome our hard-wired tendency to “discount” the future: valuing what we have today more than what we might receive tomorrow? Would any institution be capable of instilling a permanent crisis mentality lasting decades, if not centuries? How do we create new institutions with enforcement powers way beyond the current mandate of the U.N.? Could we ensure against a malevolent dictator who might abuse the power of such organizations?”

You can’t make these things up. Concepts like these belong in a Dan Brown novel.

  • Sparafucile

What “ruse”? Just ask Christiana Figueres. She’s perfectly open about it.

  • Robert Wagner

BTW if there is any country on the face of the earth that should be fighting this climate change movement to a one world government it should be Japan. I’m pretty sure that when the collective Commies do take power, and they do get their one world government, Japan won’t be leading it, China will. Does Japan really want to voluntarily surrender to authoritarian rule by China? I doubt it, but make no mistake, the climate change movement is nothing but a fraud, and the desired end result is a one world government ruled by totalitarians, much like we had in the 1930s.

  • equsnarnd

let’s defund them (the UN), throw them out of New York and stop pretending they
are anything that is remotely aligned with the interests of freedom and
prosperity. They are a thoroughly authoritarian, redistributive
organization as corrupt and bloated as the ocean is wide and deep.

I have no idea how people believe these idiots. Climate change was more then proven by the 70s, they just decided it would cost too much and so ‘not good for business’.

Anyway, even if it is a load of bollocks, why don’t people want to leave a decent home for our children and there children?
