Cosmetics maker Shiseido Co. said Thursday it will introduce its low-end Za brand of skin-care and makeup products, which it has been marketing in other parts of Asia, in Japan in September in an effort to attract new, young customers.

Za cosmetics, marketed without the Shiseido name, are sold in more than 6,000 shops in eight countries and regions, including China and Indonesia. Shiseido plans to release 19 items, priced from ¥630 to ¥1,680, at 300 shops in Japan during the first year of introduction.
