Keio students busted for dealing pot

YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) Two Keio University students were arrested for allegedly dealing cannabis on a university campus in violation of the Cannabis Control Law, police said Thursday.

Kotaro Uchida, 21, a sophomore in the faculty of business and commerce, allegedly sold several grams of marijuana to a 20-year-old friend, a freshman in another department, for ¥7,000 at the university’s Hiyoshi campus in Yokohama in early July, the police said.

The 20-year-old student was arrested at home Oct. 1 for possession of cannabis. He was released on bail after being indicted.
