Bundesliga side Hanover has made an official offer for Japan and Cerezo Osaka midfielder Hotaru Yamaguchi, a team executive revealed Friday.

"We would like to persuade him to stay," the executive said of the 25-year-old, who has already left for Germany and is expected to have his medical there.

"But we will abide by his wishes."
