The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters announced on Tuesday the acquisition of left-handed hitting Cuban infielder Juan Miranda on a one-year contract.
The 30-year-old Miranda, who has hit .226 with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs in 111 major league career games, had stints with the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks. This year, Miranda played in the Mexican League.
