Nineteen-year-old Mamiko Higa prevailed in a three-way playoff to win the Yamaha Ladies Open for her first career title Sunday.

Second-year pro Higa started the final round in 12th, shooting a 70 to force the playoff against Kaori Oe and Taiwan's Teresa Lu, as the trio carded 4-under 284 totals.

Higa birdied the second playoff hole to pick up the winner's check of ¥18 million.

"My hands and feet were shaking after making the last putt," she said. "I really can't believe it. I'm so glad to have won the tournament I targeted as my goal for the first half of the season."
