Kyokutenzan, who blazed a trail for Mongolian sumo wrestlers along with makuuchi division veteran Kyokutenho and retiree Kyokushuzan, announced his retirement Sunday saying he has reached the limit of his physical ability. Kyokutenzan, 34, said he will move to Germany with his wife, who he married in July, to start a business. Kyokutenzan lost on the final day of the Kyushu meet Sunday, leaving him with an unflattering mark of 1-6 in the third-tier makushita division.
