SAPPORO – Ryan Glynn won his seventh straight decision and Eiichi Koyano singled in two runs Sunday as the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters completed a three-game sweep of the Chiba Lotte Marines with a 4-1 victory.
Glynn (8-3) held Lotte to one run in seven innings, scattering 10 hits with no walks and three strikeouts at Sapporo Dome. The sweep lifted the Fighters to a 2 1/2-game lead over the Marines in the Pacific League.
Nippon Ham took a 4-0 lead in the third on RBI singles from Hichori Morimoto, Koyano and Takahito Kudo, all off Naoyuki Shimizu (3-6). Daisuke Hayakawa put Lotte on the board with a fifth-inning RBI single.
Micheal Nakamura closed out the ninth to earn his 18th save.

At Goodwill Dome, Tsuyoshi Wada pitched seven shutout innings and Nobuhiko Matsunaka went 3-for-5 with three RBIs as Fukuoka Softbank routed Seibu to snap a four-game losing streak.
Wada (7-6) allowed five hits and walked two and Takahiro Mahara picked up his league-leading 23rd save.
Softbank got on the board in the first inning on an RBI single by Matsunaka and put the game out of reach with a six-run ninth that included the cleanup hitter’s two-run single. Kazuyuki Hoashi (1-1) was charged with one run in eight innings.

At Fullcast Stadium, Keiji Obiki broke a 2-2 tie with a bases-clearing triple in the eighth inning as Orix scored seven runs in the last two innings.
Orix swept a three-game set at Fullcast Stadium from Rakuten, which fell nine games under .500 for the first time this season.
Masanobu Okubo (1-1) earned the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief. Rui Makino (1-3) took the loss.

At Nagoya Dome, Hanshin catcher Akihiro Yano hit a tiebreaking solo homer and three relievers combined to hold Chunichi scoreless in the final four innings.

At Hiroshima Stadium, Takuro Ishii scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch from Kan Otake and Yuki Yoshimura added a three-run homer in a four-run ninth inning as Yokohama.
