Japan striker Shinji Okazaki left for England to join Leicester City on Monday, saying he believes the uncertainty at the Premier League club following the firing of the manager who signed him from Mainz will only serve to make him a stronger player.
Okazaki signed a four-year deal thought to be worth €10 million ($11 million) with the Foxes on June 26, but Leicester boss Nigel Pearson, a long-time admirer of the striker, was fired four days later.
Pearson was dismissed after he reportedly blasted the club's owners for sacking his son James following a racist sex tape filmed on a goodwill postseason tour of Thailand.
