Last season's women's World Cup overall champion and Sochi Olympic gold medal hope Sara Takanashi comfortably won the first summer jump event of the season on Sunday.
The 16-year-old had a first first-round jump of 59.5 meters and followed it up with the day's longest leap of 61.5 to garner a winning total of 228.9 points.
Yuki Ito was second and was followed in third by Ayumi Watase.
Nineteen-year-old Reruhi Shimizu came from behind to win the men's event with jumps of 64 and 62 meters for 243.4 points.
Junshiro Kobayashi was second and Daiki Ito was third. Daito Takahashi, who has two career World Cup wins in Nordic combined and has switched to ski jumping this season, was sixth.
