The Central League's Yomiuri Giants and Pacific League's Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters have concluded a four-player trade, a source familiar with the matter said Wednesday.

The Giants will ship 34-year-old, right-hand-hitting outfielder Kenji Yano and 29-year-old lefty Hideki Sunaga to the Fighters in exchange for 31-year-old right-hander Toshiyuki Yanuki and 26-year-old, left-handed-hitting outfielder Atsushi Kita.

A career .269 hitter, Yano has played 622 games for the Giants despite being beset by injuries. Sunaga has pitched in just one game for Yomiuri, which acquired him in a trade from Nippon Ham after the 2010 season.

Yanuki is two years removed from his only season of regular playing time, when he pitched 65⅔ innings over 57 games for the Fighters. He has a career 3.75 earned run average over 175 innings.

Kita, who began his career in Yokohama, has played 53 games at the top level.
