Two-time defending world champion Eri Tosaka led a sweep of top podium spots in the women's freestyle, beating China's Sun Yanan in the women's 48-kg final on the opening day of the wrestling competition at the Asian Games Saturday.

Tosaka, who uncharacteristically admitted to struggling in her early matches due to the pressure of her first mini-Olympics, won gold along with teammate Rio Watari, who triumphed over China's Xiluo Zhuoma in the women's 63-kg category at Dowon Gymnasium.

"I am the world champion now, but I learned today that you never know when someone will come along to try to beat you," said Tosaka, who deployed a two-legged tackle against the 2013 world champion at 51 kg en route to a 5-1 victory.
