Ryo Ishikawa missed the cut in his first tournament of the year on Saturday after shooting a 1-under-par 71 in the third round of the Humana Challenge.

Ishikawa made three birdies and a pair of bogeys on the PGA West Nicklaus Course and missed the cut by seven strokes after his score left him at 3-under 213. The top 81 players advanced to the final round.

"I am disappointed that I wasn't able to get anywhere near the cut line," said Ishikawa. "I couldn't do the things I wanted to do this week.

"There were some aspects of my game that were good and some that still need working on. I will try and make use of this and give it my best in the next tournament."

Scott Stallings fired a 63 and was five strokes clear of fellow American Roberto Castro at 22 under.
