If a fellow passenger in a car knows the driver is drunk, he or she is liable to the same severe penalties as the drunken oaf.
And if a politician makes subhuman remarks about someone's gender and the rest of the assembled oafs neither admit nor acknowledge such despicable behavior, they are more guilty than any driver or passenger, drunk or otherwise.
The entire Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly and government should take responsibility for condemning Japan's gender equality awareness at ground zero.
