French restaurant Narisawa in Tokyo retained the second spot on the list of the top 50 restaurants in Asia for the third consecutive year.

William Reed Business Media Ltd., the organizer of the ranking, announced this year's list Monday in Bangkok.

Indian restaurant Gaggan in Bangkok remained at the top for the second year in a row. The list includes 10 eateries in Japan, such as Tokyo's RyuGin, which offers Japanese cuisine at No. 5, and La Maison de la Nature Goh, a French-Japanese diner in the city of Fukuoka at No. 31.

"We are very happy to be chosen as a restaurant outside Tokyo and Osaka," said Takeshi Fukuyama, the 45-year-old chef and owner of La Maison. "We would like to continue presenting culinary culture from Kyushu and Fukuoka."

This was the fourth year for William Reed's Asia's 50 Best restaurant ranking. Narisawa took first place in the inaugural list released in 2013.
