A senior South Korean official on Friday urged Japan to waste no time in presenting acceptable proposals for ending a festering dispute over wartime sex slaves.
The Yonhap news agency quoted the unnamed individual as saying Japan must put forward a resolution that the nation can accept over the issue of South Korean women and girls coerced into service at wartime military brothels.
The comments came a day after Tokyo said it was awaiting Seoul's first move.
