Three Vietnamese have been arrested in Osaka on suspicion of attacking three Vietnamese men with a knife, killing one and severely wounding the other two, Osaka police said.

The three suspects, who were arrested on Sunday, including a 30-year-old Vietnamese man from Hirano Ward, Osaka, and his wife, denied any intention of murder, according to investigators.

The investigators said the man, tentatively identified as Do Thuan Hau, and his wife run a restaurant in Ikuno Ward, in the place where the victim was attacked. They believe there was money trouble.

An autopsy showed that the victim, 25-year-old Vietnamese man identified as Nguyen Chon Thuan, died from excessive bleeding from several wounds on his chest and back. His two friends were also injured.

Based on security camera footage, police believe a few other people were involved in the attack and are searching for other suspects.
