A schoolteacher in Yokohama accidentally showed porn images stored in his personal computer to his students during a recent class intended to show the wonders of the universe, according to the Yokohama Board of Education.

The teacher, who was not named and was described as being in his 40s, intended to use a big classroom screen Tuesday to show his science class at Ryoke Junior High School a documentary on the universe.

But when he tried to start the documentary DVD, his PC accidentally showed images of 16 barely dressed women for about 10 seconds. The teacher later apologized to his students and reported the incident to the school principal, the board said.

In May 2011, the board notified teachers at Yokohama's public schools not to bring their own personal computers to school. It is considering punishment against the teacher, it said.
