Three Germans kidnapped in Syria

Three members of German aid group Gruenhelme who have been reported missing for more than six weeks were kidnapped in northwest Syria, the organization said.

“It has been 45 days since three members and employees of Gruenhelme were kidnapped overnight on May 14-15 in the village of Harem” in northwest Idlib province, near the Turkish border, said the group’s founder, Rupert Neudeck. The group has contacted the German Foreign Ministry as well as police and Syrian exiles in Germany in a bid to obtain news of its kidnapped employees.
