Sony Corp. has announced it will release Feb. 16 a new Walkman W series headset with enhanced waterproof capabilities that will enable swimmers to listen to music.
The NWD-W273 weighs about 29 grams and is expected to retail for around ¥10,000, according to Sony.
The latest model of the Walkman, which can store 2,650 songs and is suitable for a variety of sporting activities, is designed to hold up during intense workouts and in underwater depths of up to 2 meters for 60 minutes after being recharged for three minutes.
