Air Do plans Tokyo-Hakodate route

Air Do plans to launch a daily round-trip flight between Tokyo’s Haneda airport and Hakodate, Hokkaido, on March 18, company sources said Saturday.

It will be the struggling airline’s third route. Air Do, formally known as Hokkaido International Airlines, operates seven daily round-trip flights between Tokyo and Sapporo and three between Tokyo and Asahikawa, Hokkaido.

The Sapporo-based airline also plans to add one more service to each of the two routes, according to the sources.
