TOKYO, Japan – January 30 – ORIX Corporation (“ORIX”) announced that it has started development on the Komaki II Logistics Center in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture.

The Komaki II Logistics Center is located on National Route 41—which links the center of Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture to Gifu and Toyama Prefectures—about 30 minutes by car from the center of Nagoya City. It is conveniently situated about 2.2 km from the Komaki North Interchange on the Nagoya Expressway, and about 2 km from the Komaki Interchange on the Tomei Expressway, ideal for deliveries to wider areas based around the Chubu region.

The entire center will be leased to Meiko Trans Co., Ltd., a major logistics company based in the Chubu region.

ORIX began ramping up its investment in the logistics investment business in 2002; in the Chubu region, the Kasugai Logistics Center was completed in February 2017, and the Komaki II Logistics Center will be fourth building developed—the first in two years.

Going forward, we intends to continue identifying sites suitable for logistics facilities, promote the development of new businesses, and propose state-of-the-art logistics facilities that can respond to the needs of diverse tenants.
