"GEOCOMS" ultra-small electric vehicle rental service for tourism
New station opened at Tottori Sand Dunes
The Association for Tottori Tourism Mobility, which runs the “GEOCOMS” sightseeing service for touring around the San’in Coast Geopark area on a one-person electric vehicle (EV), opened Tottori Sand Dunes Station in April 2019. Thus far, the service has been available from Iwami Town to around Uradome Beach. We are now introducing a new route from the easily accessible Tottori Sand Dunes to popular sites in the surrounding areas all the way to Uradome Beach.
After visiting the Tottori Sand Dunes, you can drive around as if in a go-cart and enjoy the beautiful scenery with a series of ocean views, feeling the refreshing sea breeze on the ultra-small EV “GEOCOMS.”
GEOCOMS also features a guidance system in foreign languages so even international tourists can use them with peace of mind.

Hold the steering wheel and see the tourist sites with a cute electric vehicle
You can get in the open COMS and feel the sea breeze and hear the sound of the waves.
The maximum speed is 60 km/h. You can hold the steering wheel and drive while enjoying the beautiful scenery to the fullest, being a part of nature.
Characteristic 2: Audio navigation through bone conduction headphones
Available for first-time users and tourists from abroad!
The vehicle comes with bone conduction headphones that do not block your ears during driving.
While driving, you can listen to directions and tourist information and enjoy a detailed local trip.

Traveling with vehicles unique to this area
Vehicles covered in cute sea creatures found in the San’in area such as crabs, sharks, squid, and rock fish.
We also offer a service that allows you to drive in your swimwear so that you can enjoy swimming at the beach, which is the charm of Iwami Town in summer
Major tourist sites to visit from the Tottori Sand Dunes station
<1-hour use>
You can enjoy driving along the coast and visiting such sites as an observatory with a view of the Tottori Sand Dunes and “Tanegaike Pond,” which is famous for a legend about a snake.
<3-hour use>
You can enjoy “Uradome Beach,” which is popular for its wild landscape of precipitous cliffs, caves and oddly shaped rocks formed by the powerful waves of the Sea of Japan, as well as the crystal-clear sea.
