FARM8 Corporation (Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture / CEO Atsushi Kabasawa) will hold the JRE Local Hub Tsubame-Sanjo in Tokyo Station (organised by JR East Niigata Branch Office, Dots & Lines Ltd.), where special sake gachas filled with Niigata, such as the Pon-Pon Shu and SAKEPOST gachas, will be on offer.

The attractions of Niigata Prefecture are now available at Tokyo Station! Special sake gachas combining Niigata’s traditions and technology, such as the Pon-Pon Shu and SAKEPOST Gacha, where you can win Niigata’s local sake and Tsubame-Sanjo vessels, will be available at the JRE Local Hub Tsubame-Sanjo in Tokyo Station event at Square Zero on the first basement floor of Tokyo Station Gransta. Along with sake from local Niigata breweries, visitors will have the chance to get their hands on a sake bottle with a graphic design of successive generations of the Joetsu Shinkansen bullet train!

[What is Pon-Pon Shu?]

Pon-Pon Shu is a Japanese sake gacha developed in collaboration with Dots & Lines Ltd. and others in Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, and was launched in 2022 at JR Niigata Station and other locations, where it became a popular product.

This time, the “Pon-Pon Shu Joetsu Shinkansen Ochoko (small sake cup)” is an idea sake gacha that will be launched for the first time in Tokyo, whereby by turning the gacha you will randomly win a porcelain, stainless steel or hammered bronze sake cup with a graphic design of successive Joetsu Shinkansen trains and sake from a sake brewery in Niigata Prefecture.

[SAKEPOST Gacha]

SAKEPOST, a regular sake delivery service developed by FARM8, which cooperates in the sake business, also enlivens the sake gacha corner with prizes of Niigata’s local sake as the first SAKEPOST gacha to be experienced in Tokyo.

SAKEPOST is normally only available through a post-boxing subscription service, but this is the first time that it is available outside of the post-boxing subscription service at Tokyo Station.
The sake is characterised by a pouch containing no brand name on the package, but a QR code that allows users to check the brand name, information on the brewer and recommended ways to drink the sake.
In this gacha project, both the Pon-Pon-Shu and SAKEPOST gacha contain sake in pouches, and you are guaranteed to win sake from breweries in Niigata Prefecture.
SAKEPOST sake is made in partnership with 40 breweries in Niigata Prefecture and 70 breweries nationwide, so you’ll have to wait until you drink to find out which sake you win.
