Kotozna (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO Genri Goto, https://kotozna.com/en) In-room, a multilingual communication tool for accommodation facilities, allows guests to check facility guides and local sightseeing information in their own language, and communicate with staff from anywhere in the facility in their own language. This service has been available since October 2020 and supports 109 languages.
A resort hotel with 100 guest rooms that has installed Kotozna In-room has estimated that it has reduced its workload by approximately 2,200 hours since the system was introduced. In the past, information on the hotel was usually explained in writing at check-in. By consolidating this information into Kotozna In-room, the time required for such tasks has been greatly reduced, as well as the replacement of paper documents in guest rooms, sterilization of documents left in rooms, and the cost of materials required for these operations. Furthermore, the number of inquiries from guests to the front desk, etc., has been reduced to ⅔ of the previous level, which is expected to contribute to the improvement of customer satisfaction as well as to the reduction of response time.

▼Comments from Domestic Accommodations Regarding Increase in Foreign Tourists
Mr. Jiro Kobayashi, Deputy General Manager of Stargate Hotel Kansai Airport, commented on this release regarding the initial increase in foreign tourists.
Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport is a skyscraper landmark tower with a height of 256m on the opposite bank of Kansai International Airport. In 2019, before COVID, 8.37 million foreign visitors entered Japan from Kansai Airport annually, and our hotel was also used by many foreign guests as a base for inbound tourism.
We feel that the easing of border control measures to be implemented from October is a major step in the recovery of inbound travel, especially in terms of lifting the ban on individual travel and resuming visa waivers, as well as the removal of the cap on the number of people entering the country. With the depreciation of the yen, Japan is now a very attractive destination for foreign travelers, and we would like to welcome them with our heartfelt hospitality. Against this backdrop, we expect that the usage scenarios of Kotozna In-room, which allows customers to complete multilingual inquiries on their smartphones, to further expand.
