Prof. Bey-Hing Goh Highlights Regenesome’s SAKESOME Research in International Food Science Conference Presentation

August 10, 2025 – Changsha, China – Regenesome Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that our joint research partner, Prof. Bey-Hing Goh, Head of the Sunway Biofunctional Molecules Discovery Centre (SBMDC), Faculty of Medical & Life Sciences, Sunway University, Malaysia, mentioned our ongoing collaborative research between Sunway University, Regenesome Co., Ltd and Monash University Malaysia (Dr Lee Wai Leng) on SAKESOME—sake-derived functional nanoparticles—during his invited presentation at the 2025 Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) Symposium—Promoting Beautiful Rural Construction & Accelerating the Development of Agricultural Product Processing, Storage, and Transportation Industries & 12th International Symposium of Food Science, which is held on Aug 8-10, 2025 in Changsha, Hunan, China.

Prof. Goh’s talk, titled “Innovations in Food Reformulation: Leveraging Bioactive Compounds for Better Health Outcomes”, explored global trends in integrating bioactive compounds into food formulations to improve human health. As part of this presentation, he referred to Regenesome’s research strategy for SAKESOME, which involves isolating and characterizing nanoparticles (30–150 nm) from premium sake produced by Tsunan Sake Brewery. These nanoparticles are being investigated for potential health-related functionalities, including effects on immune, nerve, and muscle cells.

The mention of SAKESOME at such a high-profile international forum underscores the scientific and commercial potential of this novel sake-derived bioactive. Regenesome aims to advance this research towards practical applications in the fields of functional foods, health supplements, and beyond.
