In April 2025, Space Seed Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kengo Suzuki, hereinafter “Space Seed Holdings”) was invited to participate in the “EXPO 2025 Indonesia Business Forum,” held ahead of the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025. The forum provided an opportunity for Space Seed Holdings to deepen exchanges with representatives from the Indonesian government and major economic institutions.
Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Japan, the Indonesian Ministry of Investment (BKPM), Bank Indonesia, and other key organizations, the forum aimed to disseminate information on investment opportunities, industrial strategies, and possibilities for international cooperation in the rapidly growing Indonesian economy.

Keynote Lectures by Seven Speakers on Indonesia’s Future Strategy and Sustainability
The forum featured presentations from seven speakers responsible for Indonesia’s economy, energy, infrastructure, and sustainability. The event began with opening remarks by His Excellency Heri Akhmadi, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, who reaffirmed the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Japan built over 65 years and emphasized the need to further deepen bilateral economic cooperation.
Following were presentations from representatives of the Ministry of Investment, Bank Indonesia, geothermal power companies, aluminum recycling firms, infrastructure developer CHODAI, and others, who shared sustainable initiatives in their respective fields and discussed potential technological and capital collaborations with Japan.
Notably, the Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Destry Damayanti, highlighted Indonesia’s macroeconomic stability supported by strong GDP growth and expanding domestic demand driven by its young population. She also detailed the achievements and future prospects of the Local Currency Transaction (LCT) system, designed to mitigate currency fluctuation risks and facilitate cross-border investment. Her speech emphasized ambitions for strengthened cooperation with Japan through expanded digital payment infrastructure and currency swap arrangements, underscoring strong commitment toward regional economic integration.

Space Seed Holdings’ Initiatives and Strengthening Partnerships
During the forum, Kengo Suzuki, CEO of Space Seed Holdings, engaged in discussions focused on the company’s business development and investment policies toward Indonesian startups. Suzuki also introduced new business proposals grounded in the concept of “Planetary Health,” targeting environmental, health, fermentation, and biotechnology sectors that align with Indonesia’s green growth strategy.
Following the forum, Space Seed Holdings held a private meeting with officials from Bank Indonesia to further explore investment schemes utilizing the LCT system. This exchange laid the foundation for building future collaborative frameworks.

Future Outlook
Space Seed Holdings will continue to leverage its extensive network and technological expertise across Asia to advance pilot projects and partnerships promoting fermentation, renewable energy, and the circular economy. Through its management of the Fermentation and Longevity Fund, the company plans to initiate direct investments in Indonesian enterprises.
