Courtesy Visit to Singapore's Food Tech Hub "Innovate 360"
Space Seed Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kengo Suzuki, hereinafter “Space Seed Holdings”) conducted a courtesy visit to “Innovate 360,” a prominent food tech incubator based in Singapore, on April 12, 2025.
Background and Purpose of the Visit
Space Seed Holdings has been actively promoting business initiatives that address health challenges in the ASEAN region through its Fermentation and Longevity Fund, which aims to create new health solutions by integrating fermentation technologies and longevity science. In particular, collaboration with local startup support organizations and food tech incubator networks is essential for developing and validating functional foods based on traditional fermentation knowledge.
Against this backdrop, the visit to Innovate 360 — a leading food innovation hub in Singapore — was made to discuss two key areas of potential cooperation:
1. Collaboration on Overseas Bottling Business
Space Seed Holdings proposed a new business model involving the overseas shipment of unbottled Japanese sake produced in Japan, to be bottled and distributed locally in Singapore. The advantages in terms of cost-efficiency and operational feasibility were presented. Innovate 360 expressed interest in introducing local bottling partners and potential collaborators. Further discussions are expected, including the sharing of plans from Tsunan Brewery.
2. Partnership in Longevity Food Development
Space Seed Holdings introduced several examples of functional food development using ingredients such as fucoxanthin, butterfly pea, microalgae, sake lees, and ergothioneine. Possibilities for joint development and distribution within Singapore were explored. Innovate 360 suggested the potential to support these efforts through facility access, partner matching, and review of provided materials, including prototypes and ingredient data. Moving forward, more concrete discussions are planned in coordination with Regenesome Inc. and Dr. Kengo.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity to establish practical connections with Singapore’s food tech ecosystem and to exchange insights that will drive upcoming projects.
