The Boston Red Sox will retire Pedro Martinez's No. 45 to honor the Hall of Famer's career with the team.

Martinez, who was voted into the Hall in January, will be inducted into the Cooperstown, New York, shrine July 26. His number will be retired by the team two days later at Fenway Park before the Red Sox host the Chicago White Sox.

Martinez, who compiled a 117-37 record and a 2.52 ERA with Boston, will join seven other former Boston players with their numbers retired: Bobby Doerr (1), Joe Cronin (4), Johnny Pesky (6), Carl Yastrzemski (8), Ted Williams (9), Jim Rice (14) and Carlton Fisk (27).
